    First thing's first... Great Series!
    "Sex, Power, Murder, Amen!"
It's like the Tudors in Italy plus more scandal ..but minus Jonathan Rhys Meyers icon_sad.gif

BUT! Luckily, Cesare Borgia is a dreamboat ;)

Anyone else watching because of Cesare?

I loved the Tudors but I couldn't get into the Borgias. I felt with the exception of Cesare and the Pope all the other characters were lacking.

I watch it for Jeremy Irons, as Pope Alexander, as he acts circles around everyone else.

It's also interesting to watch the machinations of Cardinal della Rovere, the nemesis of the Borgias, who later becomes Pope Julius II (following Alexander's death and the short-lived Pope Leo III) and destroys Cesare Borgia and the Borgia influence.

Julius is also notable for having Michelangelo paint the Sistine Chapel, beginning the New St. Peter's (the one that still stands), and being the most warlike of all the Popes. (Il Papa Guerriero)

beneful1: I found it on Bravo, Sundays at 10pm

As for Jeremy Irons, he really is a great actor... but he just doesn't feel very pope-like to me. Albeit, that may be the whole point...
