anger

    I get extremely angry on a regular basis just trying to handle regular days. I have a lot to be angry about, true, but I feel I should be able to handle it better as I usually end up throwing something. I already meditate, have incense, and listen to meditation music and now I've been using the punching bag in the basement to release my anger. It's largely due to feeling outcasted for my sexuality which isn't really a conflict I can work on unless you could change the world instantly, so, anyone else dealing with this? How do you handle your anger? I've been holding it back for years and I really don't want to end up beating the shit out of someone.

    What you can do is avoid contact with the people who cast you out. So, don't have your anger triggered. You live in Boston, MA, I'm sure there are tons of gay /gay-friendly groups you can spend your time with instead of the haters.

    i dont live in boston actually, i just live near there. i live in the ghettoest fuckin town in new england and there's a lot of ignorant ass trashy people here.

    Try helping victims...people who are worse off than you.

    There are gay help lines and hospitals who need volunteers for people who have been victims of hate crimes...or gay teens kicked out on the street by homophobic parents. When you see people worse off than you, you start to think, "Yeah, it's not perfect for me, but I'm sure better off than these people." and plus, these people will appreciate you for you're willingness to help....and that always feels good.
