So, I met a very hot guy from school today, Go to Facebook to stalk and he has interested in men. Despite this, he is also listed as in a relationship with a girl. Why do guys do this? To make us even more confused about their sexuality?

A lot guys either put "interested in men" to be funny or their friends change it as a joke if they find them logged in. icon_rolleyes.gif

I've had this random guy friend me on facebook in college and the next day he sent an apology. Apparently his friends found him logged in and sent friend requests to all the guys listed as "interested in men" on their facebooks at our school.

It could be a mistake or he could be bisexual.

When will we stop trying to figure out what people are. Its exhausting!

Maybe he likes guys a bit...Not everyone is full blown gay. I know I am not.

My last ex in University used FB to find out if I was straight or gay. I allowed anyone from my uni to view a portion of my page including who I was interested in. He became super excited and made a plan to meet me one afternoon. He practrically dragged me back to my car and made out with me, icon_razz.gif

Why not message him and be like, "Interested in men? LOL. Does your gf know, haha"

Only believe half of what you read online, and question the other half.

Lots of my friends are " in relationships with" on facebook purely as a joke. This tends to happen more-so with girl-girl pairs and gay guy-girl pairs.

    There's still hope.

People always will be in fake relationships with their friends. Especially gay guys with their girl friends or straight girls with other straight girls. So it is most likely a friend and it is just a joke. I don't know if straight guys exist in the world that are comfortable enough to put "Interested in Men" on their Facebook even as a joke, because they won't want anyone taking it seriously.

So my opinion, he is gay and the "relationship" is just with his best fag hag friend to be funny.

Kind of cruel joke especially if these str8 men are hot though. It's misleading the general public as well. They should be arrested for fraud.

Yeah I can see it going both ways LOL. He does have a lip kissing pic of him and girl, yet other gays do too. This really wouldn't be an issue if he wasn't so hot. Idk, up here in ND, I have yet to see another straight guy with interested in men as just a joke, but maybe I'm sheltered icon_razz.gif

    umm dont take facebook seriously.

it will make ur life a lot easier

ive been "in a relationship" with a girl for 4 years according to facebook
who gives a shit? its a joke

-also- facebook stalking people is bad for ur health. u ight come across an inside joke between someone and their friends and then ull become confused about their sexuality. ...if ur interested in this boy talk to him. ask him if hes gay instead of stalking to find out

I never really understood that section on Fb.
    Interested in Men, meaning what?
    As friends, or more?

    Eh, whatever....icon_neutral.gif

I'd have to agree with those who said guys do it as a joke. I have plenty of guy friends who do the same thing.

You should tell your straight male friends that they're funny, as a joke.

Yup, out gay men do it, too. My ex used to do that. He's go "into a relationship" with a girl all the time on FB. It wasn't serious.

If you really need to know the why wait and ask in person otherwise just ignore it.Iknow many people that put false stuff on thier fb page just to catch fb stalkers b/c most fb syalkers can't help but bring up something they read and out themselves as a bit creepy.
