    Salut!

A friend of mine, while visiting the Minnesota State Fair last summer, was approached by a guy while getting something at one of the concession stands. He walked up to her, and slapped a band on her wrist, and casually walked away.

She was bewildered, but shrugged it off. Later that evening, she took the slap band off, and on the back of it was his number.

Apparently these things are illegal in the U.S. (people were cutting themselves with the stainless steel blade). However, I would order 'em online.

So the question is, would you find it creepy if a guy (or myself) approached you, slapped a band on your wrist and walked away? To me, it's a great idea, because the ball is then in their court.

FAIL.... How about.... "Hey! My name is _____!"

That is what works the best for me.

    But see, that's the thing.

I'm not very big, and I get very intimidated by all of the well-established, attractive gays in the city. It also doesn't help that I look like I'm about 16 on a good day.

The sexiest thing any man can have is confidence. Do I hear any "amens"? Seriously, you can get the guy you want by being yourself and confidently.

If you slapped me with a phone number I would be like, "WTF??" Especially since it would happen so quickly I couldn't get a good look at you to know if I wanted to call you back.

    maybe young guys are different.

This isn't as creepy as the ones that walk up behind you, breathe heavy for about 30 minutes while they move forward slowly rubbing your back.

Please at least have the balls to slap me. I mean really... icon_lol.gif

I'd much rather you walk up to me and say "hi, you're hot, let's fuck."
Don't bother with the number shit. It's now or never bitch. icon_razz.gif

BlakeJ, Actually YOU HAVE THE ADVANTAGE.

Being smaller and boyish makes you look NON-threatening. You immediately put people at ease.

Especially if you remember to SMILE when you say "Hi, my name is Blake.....and I think you are So HANDSOME."

Even a guy who would only consider dating a huge, hairy hulk will think you're adorable and be grateful for the compliment.

AND he might just have a hot friend for you!

It's a creative way to give out your number to someone you like (unless you're giving out hundreds of the slap bands), but it's ultimately a poor method.
The guy doesn't have the balls to say, "hi," so most guys would not his actions attractive.

I guess it is about as cool of an idea as it can be a state fair, a place where feather roach clips were also considered cool.
