Ok, I have been reading Grindr stories on here, both good and bad, but, mostly, you guys make it sound like it's a fun thing to do.

    What if...

you went running at night and you are accidentally on grindr or forgot to get off. It's dark and there's no one on the street, isn't it kind of dangerous to be on grindr unknowingly? Alot of people do forget to sign off from Grindr. Even during daytime, someone could be following you? (Leave the fantasy of gang rape stories some of you might have, in all honesty, rape is traumatizing and never fun, not that I have been raped and know what it feels like, I could just imagine what the victim might have to go through. shudders*)

With the help of Grindr, people can literally follow you and they would know where you live, which shops you usually go to, what you like to do, etc. It's kind of like a tracking device that forest rangers put on wild animals so that they know exactly where the subjects are.

    Those are legitimate concerns.

    What are your thoughts?

I believe the latest (iPhone) version of Grindr has a feature to turn off the distance displayed on your profile to others.
