    OK RJ, this is it!

I have long thought that it would take a team of nutritionalists and 20+ grad students to help me reach my goals, and now it is a reality. I start the program linked below tonight and it incorporates a lot of things, including the armband used on the show 'The Biggest Loser'. I'm going to use RJ as an accountability partner and will probably post regular photo updates. Here's how the program works for now:

    - Weekly 1-hour meetings with a weigh-in
    - On-call nutritionalists for support and meal plan substitution ideas
    - Calorie limits and work with nutritionalists to create an appealing menu
    - Routine brisk walking is the minimum cardio required, they just want us to actually do it!
    - Text message support (i.e., since it is raining outside, how will you adjust your outside walk schedule)

The study is looking at weight loss maintenance, so the first 6-months are about weight loss in and of itself. If I comply, they said I’ll easily lose 30+ lbs healthily and under observation. The team leader said weight loss is not a mystery; we all know how to do it. Less calories, more exercise. A buddy of mine in the program is on a 1,500 calorie per day diet, but he says it is enough food and he was surprised. We were also told we need to be prepared to make changes, but that doesn’t mean we can’t eat pizza for instance, just not a whole pizza! lol I can’t wait until the end of the summer!
