It looks like China's decided that gay people have joined the list of threats to the Olympics and started stamping on their human rights.

I hope the International Olympic Committee is waking up feeling dirtier every day for choosing China as a showcase country for something as important to the world and freedom and equality as the Olympic Games.

I think Premier Hu Jintao probably needs a hug. Any volunteers?

When we went to war in Kosovo to keep Muslims from being exterminated, China teased the West for being "Sentimental" over human life.

Why are we doing business with them?

WOW...way to go china. As if they haven't done enough black listing throughout history.
Winter will be in Vancouver so we can look forward to that. Canadians love us!

I've been to Beijing... Truly one of the most amazing cities that I have been to in the world. Some of the most amazing, happy people that I have ever met. The regular people live on around 800 yuan a month ($40 US) but they are so happy.

However... until the internet made it's way into the country, the Government controlled every bit of information so closely. And they still do as much as possible. I met people that still believe that the students murdered in Tienimun Square was just a myth, yet you could see the patched bullet holes in bricks.

I love China.... However, I can't think of a worse place for the world to come together in peace. It's like having Gay Pride at Temple Square in SLC, UT. Now that's an idea!

well, the reality is china is cleaning up the whole city, a lot more of straight places has been raided as well. But this article only report the gay issue, which make it sound worse then the whole clean up movement.
