    "Look at ME! ME! ME!"

    Where are his tax returns?

But to call him part of the GOP is a bit insulting to the GOP.

This is not a new question, just overshadowed by the birth certificate question. This deals with his SAT scores and transcripts from Occidental, Columbia, and Harvard.

Insulting maybe - but not unfair.
After all, he has shot to the top of the polls for the 2012 presidential nomination.
You're defined by the company you keep - and the Repubs have embraced Trump.

This is just the beginning. I'm sure Obama's birth certificate will be analyzed by ink experts, carbon-14 dating (never mind that it's only valid for carbonaceous materials up to about 58,000 to 62,000 years), handwriting/signature experts. That is, if they can get a hold of it illegally.

    It all comes to epistemiology:

Am I saying that it's completely impossible that the birth certificate is fake? It's like asking
"Am I saying that the Matrix doesn't really exist? No, but I can be 99% certain that it doesn't."

The whole birther movement is a thinly veiled racial theory that starts with the premise that a presidential candidate is somebody foreign and subversive.

That cartoon would be funnier if it wasn't so true.
    And tragic.

Back to the OP: Trump should realize that people who live in glass houses shouldn't throw shit around.

Which are just a continuation of the racist meme that Obama is not an American, or got into Harvard via affirmative action (meanwhile, Trump's son-in-law got into his college because his father, later convicted of all kinds of nefarious activity, gave them $2.5 million) and despite Obama having graduated magna cum laude he is weird, alien, unfit for office. icon_rolleyes.gif

God only knows what the right-wing hate merchants will come up with next.
    They are truly unhinged.

Thank God that none of these nuts are running the country.

Leslie Savan of The Nation commented:

The Birthers go beyond simple conspiracy theories--they're cast members of the ongoing American denying-reality show, not unlike the folks who deny the moonlanding or the Holocaust ..., and very much like the Creationists who insist that the Earth is but 6,000 years old, the Teabaggers who refuse to believe they must pay taxes, the 9/11 Truthers who say the government attacked the Twin Towers, and, as we might call them, the Inhofers who believe global warming is a hoax.[169]

As Tiger Tim says in the other thread, it's a matter of epistemology. Eventually reality catches up to you.

Charlie Pierce has an entire book at this called "Idiot America", which traces this kind of American "know-nothingism" back to the founding days.

I was going to say this fits Hofstadter's 1964 essay "The Paranoid Style in American Politics" quite well:
