Does anybody else find themselves getting addicted to RealJock or other gay sites?

On saturday, I can end up sitting on realjock for too long. But I have cut back the amount of time overall on this website. The weather is starting to get warmer so I much rather be outside.

When I first joined this site, I felt something of an addiction.
But lately this hold seemed to have weakened, one possible reason is that the forum threads have lost it's flavour.
I recall the days, for example of the Creation versus Evolution topics which appeared here. When I posted articles in favour of Creationism, long threads appeared and the topic took off. Contributions from RJ members such as Sedative, with his photos of animals and plants, USBioNerd who also was highly intellectual and whose posts deserved attention, McGay, whose wisecracking humour had me in stitches, and others who now seldom or never post anymore, back then made RealJock something not to be missed.
I'm also aware that newer members would have never seen any of those I have mentioned above, their standing off or profile deletion ended a great era for RealJock.
Nowadays I can go through some days without logging in, and I tend to submit fewer posts.

In the beginning it was fun,but now it's just the same shit reworded over and over. I come one here every once and awhile, but not as much as I use to.

It's passed the time thru the seemingly never ending winter we've had but now that it's finally starting to warm up and stay warmer in the evenings it'll be not so much

    Not addicted to RJ.
    Love my FarmVille, though.
But, a while back, I was away for 5 days and never logged on, even once.

i still come as often except i kind of briefly pass by and add bits to the greek chorus ;p .
don't stay nearly as long as in my first year .
I got a tremendous amount of info , never complete but good enough to send me investigating - mostly over training , dieting etc.
and it is nice to just be aware of gay men in so many various fields in life.

Yep, RealJock is deliciously distracting. I pointlessly look at threads and profiles when I should be working on homework and lab write ups.

It was like that for me about a year ago then I got a new job and then progressed to the responsibility of having a boyfriend. I met a lot of lifelong friends from this place and it still has been a rewarding experience.

If you had asked this quetion about a couple years ago, I would say yes because I stopped going out because of some personal issues inside me. Now, I have gotten ridden most of them (THANKS JEFF!) and I go out each day (greenway). Yes, I come on each day, but I don't stay online more than I use to do even though my best friend made me get back to Facebook.

But I am glad I came here. I have found some EXCELLENT friends! And met a few of them, too, finally!

Sometimes, yeah... this is a great site to bounce humorous comments off of people. While the political discourse tends to get out of hand, the rest of it is pretty positive.

I'm glad there isn't a 12 step program to get off of RJ. Very hooked here and on every day. I have met so many great guys here and made a good, life-long friend here as well!

The term "addiction" gets thrown around a lot. Surfing the internet is not an addiction.
