The wording of the petition has been approved. Now all they need is 800,000 signatures by August 5th for the question to appear on the ballot in November.

My bet is that they'll get those signatures. I'm from Michigan originally, and the repubs Gov. is pissing a lot of people off. These repubs are too beholding to the Baggers and are as a result taking things way too far, the pendulum is swinging back to the center now.

Wow. Actually democracy in action. icon_smile.gif Though I do worry that every election will now become one wherein the other side attempts to recall the other. icon_cry.gif

Unfortunately, we here in Florida do not have that power to recall. And because the entire government is over run by republicans, all bills to amend the constitution to allow the people to recall have been thrown out by the overwhelming republican majority in both the house and senate. (not very 'democratic' or government "by the people" is it?)

And the people of Florida DEFINITELY want to recall this crook of a governor.

His 'approval' rating is only 32 percent
His 'Disapproval' rating is 52 percent
    And here's the kicker,,,
His approval rating among republican voters is only 57 percent.

All this after 4 months in office? makes ya think 'hmmmmmmmm'.

Will the Democrats next try and recall the Governor of Massachusetts?

Guess not because the situations are "soooooo different". The important difference is in Massachusetts the deed is done by Democrats, so there is a different standard from the political faithful and the loyal media.

Hypocrisy again from the left. What would you expect?
