Does anyone here have asthma and play sports? I have recently been teaching myself to play soccer and I have noticed it triggers my asthma. I know that people like David Beckham also have had asthma since they were a kid and still play just fine.

Does anyone else have asthma and play sports? What do you guys do to control your asthma besides an inhaler?

I have had asthma since I was a kid. It used to make running difficult.
I ended up in the ER once with an asthma attack.

As I got older, I more or less grew out of the asthma. I have an inhaler in case I need it, but it's rare.

I've done swimming, volleyball, and crew. All of them are fine with asthma. Running is fine now, too.

Have you been running before you started playing soccer? It may take some time to condition your lungs.

Do you have any allergies or sensitivity to pollen that could trigger the asthma? If you have an environmental trigger, maybe an allergist could help.

i've had asthma since i was in the 3rd grade.

In high school, I ran track and cross country, also played baseball. I was able to play any sports I wanted despite the fact I have asthma.

Today, I run daily and participate in lotsof "outdoors activities" such as the beach, swimming, jogging, etc and it affects my asthma. Some days I need nothing, others I need my resvue inhaler.

Consider trying "advair" that shit is da motherfucking bomb, it works and u'll never have any symptoms.
