GB8 was a blast in Salt Lake City. 19 teams (Minnesota dropped out) from all over the country experienced the first-ever SNOW at the GayBowl. Mid to low 40s with wind on Friday, wind and mid-30s on Saturday, and the snow fell on Sunday. Believe it or not, it was more comfortable playing in the snow than the previous two days.

If you're not involved in flag football and want to be, check out Outsports.com for your local team. There's tons of talent spread throughout the teams, including former Division 1 NCAA players and a few ex-NFL players, all the way down to guys who are learning football for the first time.

In addition to the games, the parties and camraderie are amazing. I've been friends with players on other teams since GB2 in San Francisco and we keep in touch all the time. A perfect example was yesterday, when those of us in the lower brackets were done playing, and there were 10-15 of us sitting around the hot tub socializing and drinking and having a blast! Special shout out to Justin, Leroy, Chris, and Darryl who jumped into the outdoor pool with me for a quick cool-off in the snow.

Next year GB9 will be in Washington, DC!
