When was the last time you went swinging on a swingset?

    Pretty self-evident, I'd say.

About 2 months ago. I get odd looks from people in their 30s when I do so; I get big smiles from the elderly, though. There are time when it's most appropriate to act your shoe size, not your age.

About a week ago, I think.

Now going down the slide, that's an entirely different issue...

    Oh good question.

I just went on Sunday at my country club. The little kids abandoned the swings near the swimming pool, and I jumped up to get a couple swings.

It's funny when you hear the old terminology like: "cherry bombs" and "underdogs". Brings back the days when the ice cream truck was like heaven on wheels. Or, maybe it still is?

About 7 years ago with my ex-girlfriend at a park. That'll be that last time I will ever be on either one again...though the swing might have a good chance if I do see it again.

hahaha, so I have to ask what possessed you to go swinging @ 2:15 am?

Lol, not that I'm judging...that's typically when I swing

    =D

I definitely think that we all take ourselves way to seriously - our jobs, our social status, our possessions, ourselves...I'm definitely not blameless, I just think about it sometimes.

It's nice to swing on a swing, close your eyes, listen to some music, and just...imagine. My parents have lived in the same house for over a decade, and there's a park by my house that I always used to go to...I'd climb the trees and pretend I was hiding from some killer robot from Dr. Who...or swing on the swings. Or sing in the middle of the night towards the apartment buildings by my house (and I am LOUD).

Every week I get together with some friends and play the stupid little games we used to play as kids...manhunt, capture the flag, tag, shit like that. Reminds me that being active, and being healthy...doesn't have to be work.

It reminds me of who I am, and that happiness, and joy, don't necessarily come in a box (though I WILL be overjoyed when I get my iPhone! lolololol) but can be something as simple as climbing a tree quietly to hide from someone who's it, and watching them walk underneath you like, 20 times and not look up once.

So yeah. That was a nice ramble.

    hahahahaha

    Night all.

Been so long I don't remember, but thanks for the question--there's a small park across the street from my townhome, I should make time to go today.

Now I'm getting reminded of all the games I used to play when I was a kid. Man...

Freeze tag, statue maker, red-light-green-light, mother may I, running bases....

    few weeks ago during aids/lifecycle.

it was back in high school that i discovered swinging as a form of meditation. so fantastic to let go and be in the moment. nothing you have to do other than be right there.
