I've been dieting for a little over a year now, and when I started, I joined a gym for the first time. After a few months of just walking on a treadmill I decided that it was time to start weight training and taking it to the next level. I had NO idea where to start, so I met with a trainer who designed a workout routine for me. Every so often, I schedule a session with him and he critique's my progress and I've been doing well so he says - we usually go about an hour to an hour and a half and he'll show me different machines to try to add to my routines.
So, I feel that all is going well in this area, however, in the past year I believe I only lost about 30 pounds - I was thinking it would be more than that by now - I seem to be loosing weight slowly. I'm concerned that I'm now used to my eating/exercise plan.
I do not follow a specific diet - I cut out junk food, soda, and all things that were obviously not healthy - This worked for me and I stuck with it, but now I think I need an actual diet plan to make sure I'm eating enough/or that I'm not eating too much and not even realizing it.
Has anyone seen a dietician or nutritionist to get them on a specific plan? I am considering this option because I think my way was only going to work for so long.
