I have been kicking something around.
The other morning when I had my freak out, I had been jarred by a few different things all at once that morning.

I know he is out at school because his phone rings constantly from people asking, supporting, etc.
Apparently there are a couple more out at school and it doesn't seem to be a big deal.
Given that, I am unsure how to take something that his principal said.

The principal had called me as we are actively involved with the kids school system, and wanted to talk about a few things.
During the conversation this all came up and principle suggested counseling.
This I think was neutral. *thinking*
Counseling could be for just general help, support.
He had said that the school will keep an eye out for bullying, etc etc etc but there is only so much they can do. I understand this.
Where he jarred me though is when he brought up homeschooling and if I would want to do that.
    Something offended me about it.
My son is a good student, involved in school extra curricular activities as well as state activities for his extra curricular.
Homeschooling would be terrible all around.
    I mean...what is he thinking?
    Am I totally missing something?

Was this a warning or just an acknowledgement of worst case scenario options or what?

Not missing anything in my opinion.
He was being PC about telling you to home school.

    Why indeed.

You're involved in the school system; PTA kind of stuff?

I'm not PTA, more of a PITA.
Maybe he is just sick of us.

I know. Imagine getting handsomely paid to feel a little squeamish.

If he mentions it again you might give him a brilliantly warm smile and say your son, like any other, could very well see exile as a form of punishment just for being himself.
