Officially my favorite show. Finally a show where the main gay character doesn't live up to the stereotype.

I love this show--the characters are deliciously zany. Who does jazz-kwon-do?

It's ok show - reminds me if a combination of Friends and Scrubs - but the "gay" character doesn't set off my gaydar at all. And we haven't seen him with a guy all yet, while other characters have all been seen dating, etc. I find it kind if annoying.

Actually Max and Dave fake kissed a few episodes ago. Was kinda cool in a cute way.

I don't see the similarity to friends let alone scrubs...They're all group based comedy shows that's about it.

Sorry but I don't watch TV and really don't know the show or characters but if I told you they represented gay men in shows back in the early 70's as retired football players. Would that change your perspective on finally?

Have you seen the wire? Apparently in that show none of the characters live up to the gay stereotype.

I wouldn't get too invested in this show because the ratings are not so good and it might get canceled, I enjoyed Mr. Sunshine but stopped watching cuz the ratings went from great, to not so great, to pathetic and certain to be canceled. Right now ratings are not so great but not too bad either, but tonight there was a new SVU which might hurt the show a little bit.

It happened with Kyle XY it got canceled and I was so pissed but I seriously doubt this show will get canceled any time soon, it's very well put together and besides it doesn't leave continuity for the next ep so I'll keep on laughing every Wednesday night

It's not about the quality of the show, it's all about money, sadly. I'm a Fringe fan, I should know, LOL, every Saturday morning I almost have a heart attack because that's when the ratings are released for Fringe but God, the ratings are low, but I seriously hope you're right anf they don't cancel it, ABC needs a solid comedy block, they so far have Modern Family, CougarTown and with Mr. Sunshine bombing, Happy Endings might stick around. I know too much about ratings hahahahaicon_razz.gif

I watched the episode where the gay guy was struggling with coming out to his parents. Its a cute show in a very cheesy kind of way. I wouldn't be able to sit through another episode.

Wednesday night is a Modern Family night for me. That's the best TV show at the moment. I agree with the comments above, I don't think this show will have a Happy Ending......... it seems like one of those shows that gets cancelled after One Season. But i must say, Elisha Cuthbert has been my female celebrity crush ever since 24. icon_biggrin.gif

I wasn't too impressed after watching the first episode. It reminded me of Friends, another show I could never watch.

Then there's another new one on as well. can't remember the name.. has what's her name who was Rays wife in Everybody Loves Raymond... it's dreck as well.. a knockoff of another awful show Malcom in the Middle.

I watched an episode tonight and really liked it (the Gaycist episode). Logged onto hulu to see the other episodes I had missed. I think I now have a crush on the gay character Max... If only he really existed icon_wink.gif He's loud, he's rude and crude and a total douche. YES PLEASE!

    Really?!
The gay character annoyed me because he'd say something like "that's so gay, but it's ok for me to say that since I'm gay," and it was stupid and repetitive. It's good to have gay characters who aren't stereotypes, but it looks like the only reason the writers made the character gay was so they can tell gay jokes and and not get into trouble.
The rest of the show was meh.

I'd much rather watch Top Chef Masters anyways.

I am trying to understand this... are you saying that even if a show is great you stop watching it when the ratings begin to decline?
