And that's why I'm in psychology icon_razz.gif I'll just drive around in the Jeep and counsel them when they are traumatized ;)

I worked as the Chaplain's assistant for six months in the Navy while I was awaiting orders after A School. Being a naturally good listener, he let me handle the minor cases and counsel them. Trust me...you do NOT know what you're getting yourself into. Those Seals can get awful irate when they're depressed.

Of course, the fun part is when their depression stems from their inability to continue hiding their "true" sexuality. hehe

    ahhhh the memories!
I still have my UDT shorts (aren't they hot? especially with nothing on underneath!) and they still fit after all these years!

Well I handled them at Leavenworth fine.. so I think I could handle the pre-break phase! Even sociopathic people have something to say... even if it's all the ways they want to kill you, heh.

But seriously they do so much for our country, subject themselves to huge amounts of stress and we pay them by giving them half ass benefits and even worse pay. If America wants to thank the the troops they can pay them what they deserve and cover every veteran 100%.

The second guy to the lower left would be in serious trouble if he had to bunk with me. icon_twisted.gif

I wish I'd stayed in contact with the ones I used to hang out with (post Desert Storm). They were incredible people. The govt really does treat them like shit for all the work they do.

lol. Me too. A colleague of mine runs the Virginia Wounded Warriors Program.... they do great work. But the things they have been through, seen, and endured with the military are almost unspeakable.... Sad sad stories.

...but fascinating and important work to be done.

Well I was basing the story off a trauma psychologist I know and he says Jeep. I'm guessing he means a Hummer. Unless he's older than I thought and was there in WWII ;)

You forge a bond like you wouldn't believe in the military. Wouldn't trade it for anything. I wasn't a seal, but even just regular bootcamp and then officer and flight training, all were great and intense experiences.

There seemed to be quite a few bisexual guys back before the DADT era when I was in, or at least there wasn't the paranoia that occurred when DADT went into effect. Thank god it's on its way out....

But honestly? I never got a hardon in such situations (or at least only rarely) because of the nature of the way you interact with your buddies. It's a frickin' group of ya for christ sake, there's competition and camaraderie and all that going on! And I'm a horny mother fvcker!!

Just my take on it. And yes, if you behave yourself and act like the man that you really are (masculine and in the military), you will find other "open minded" guys gravitate toward you naturally. Hell, it still happens to me out in the real world. No gay bars needed icon_smile.gif

This is great, the discipline, comradery and the ability to push yourself to the limits. I sure wish I could have joined the military. Thanks for sharing.
