When you go out to catch a flick solo or with friends, do you usually eat popcorn? Candy? Soda/pop? If not, what do you snack on if you snack at all? What steps do you to take to make better choices?

Snack? What is this "snack" of which you speak?

For what the theaters charge for stale popcorn/candy and soda, I bring in a bag of tacos and a bottle of Dr Pepper.

lmfao the people replying so far sound poor.

I usually go to a movie right after dinner and I'll get popcorn and a fountain pop.

The movie theater snacks are way too expensive. If anything I'll sneak in something relatively boring like Cashews or chocolate so I'm not paying more than I am to see the movie.

if I have the money to buy everyone a popcorn of equal size I will definitely do that. If no one else around me is not snacking then I won't.

It's either we all snack or we don't!

to answer your question directly... yes we do snack. Large popcorn + soda + a bag of maltesers.

    mmmmmmmmmmmmm.

I just make sure to wake up extra early the next day and increase my workout! icon_razz.gif

I bring baby carrots, not so much to save money but to avoid the unhealthy, chemical-filled crap that they serve at the concession stand

A guy took me to a movie about a year and a half ago (last time I went on a movie date, sad) and he got a decent yet moderate sized round of snacks (I think it was like 2 popcorns, two sodas, and he may have gotten some candy too). The total came out to like 35 bucks. I mean what the fuck.

So no, I don't give the concession stand my patronage. I used to sneak subway subs in there. Mmmmm soo goooood.

I usually get a large soda and share it between friends. I never buy popcorn since I usually never finish it or eat it since its too buttery. Every AMC has buttery popcorn I swear! I wish they served cheese popcorn, now that would be legit. Or caramel! Oh yeah forgot about the nachos! Yum!

I like eating before going to the movies because food is crazy expensive at the movies plus I don't like their popcorn. I might get gummy worms and soda but that's about it.

I have an unlimited viewership card to a nation wide multi-branch cinema (where you pay a relatively small monthly direct debit fee for the privilidge), so, I sometimes have phases of going to the cinema every evening (if I have the free time), and got bored of the over priced and sub-par quality popcorn/hot-dog/sweets on offer, so I sneak in my own pre-bought pizzas/pasta-bakes I made at home/protein shakes/sandwhiches/supermaket popcorn/chocolate/Burger King etc in my back-pack and I have a little feast during the playing of the movie.

    I loves it.

The security can't combat my food stashing tactics.

wtf is a fountain pop. Sounds like some shit from the 50's

I want you to take me to your movie theatre. Even though its probably a drive in and I might have to sit in the colored section. icon_lol.gif

And you sound like a "30-thousand-dollar-a-year millionaire."
Most of the "real" millionaires I know got that way by being frugal, investing, and not spending their income on overpriced shit like movie popcorn just to "look rich." icon_wink.gif

PS. Sometimes I'll get the popcorn and a drink, but I only go to the movies like once every other year. Netflix is much more cost effective.
