If your gym has mirrors, do you look at yourself in them?

I'm just curious what you guys think about this. Sometimes I wonder about people who do it like nearly constantly and especially if they don't look good. Like do you think from the last set you did that all of the sudden your going to completely different?

The gym is a "hall of mirrors", and an absolute delight for the narcissist, voyeur, and exhibitionist.

I am blessed to be all three.

Yes, I look at myself in them. It's the only way I can (1) be sure I execute the reps correctly, (2) track my body's progress and (3) discreetly look at other well-built guys for inspiration!

Yes I check myself out all the time...nah. Mirrors are great for checking form, making sure I am lifting properly.

Sometimes i happen to find myself checking out other guys in the gym via the mirror. icon_redface.gif

Really a silly question isn't it? First of all yes I do. (And I don't even have a muscular body.) I like the way I look when I pumped. I also like to see that I am using good form.

But I really think it's a silly question coming from the OP. On the OP's profile he has taken pics of himself flexing for all of us and himself to see.
    So what's the difference really?

Don't get me wrong. Nothing wrong with either. I just don't see the difference of looking at yourself while working out in the gym, or posting pics of yourself flexing (or not) on a website that is called RealJock.

I do some lifting in the mirror, it helps with form, and I also do Yoga once a week so I try to get a spot by the mirror because it helps me maintain balance ( I don't know how that works, but it does). In the locker room I will take a look after I'm done to see what the pump is like.

My gym has lots of hardcore body builders and they totally hog the mirrors....

I don't just stand in front of one and flex at my self by I'll look at myself while I'm doing an exercise to make sure my form is right.

All the walls in my gym are covered in mirrors. And yes, I am working out facing the mirrors so I am constantly looking at myself.

They are also helpful to secretly checkout the other hunks in the gym. I don't really know how "secret" it is, cause I always catch them staring back icon_biggrin.gif

the main point of the mirrors (besides the obvious) is to check your technique. Use the mirrors to check your form (pun intended)

C'mon..you can't just work out with your eyes closed to avoid seeing your reflection on the mirrors in the gym. It's either you look at yourself or checkout the other guys. I do bothicon_biggrin.gif

    Yes.

For narcissistic reasons and to check my form. Also to check out other guys at the gym.
