Great city. I moved there right after school waaaay back when and probably lived in 5 or 6 different buildings in the westend. The best was the old Gainsborough on Broughton St between Pendrell and I think Helmcken.. old 5 story brick building. Fab apartment and big, it went from the front of the building to the back. Huge big living room and a diningroom that was just as big with french doors between them. Great for parties

Enjoy the weather while it lasts! The unique mix of sun, rain, and wind all in one day only last during two times in Vancouver: Spring and Autumn.

    Hope the city's what you've expected...AND more!

Haha, thanks everyone! I love it. I'm living right in the west end, I'm like a 5-10 minute walk from the seawall. I'm so fortunate to live here. Beautiful and so much fun. Ahhh!
I'm loving it... except I'm going to be working at Tim Hortons. -_________-

Welcome! Vancouver in the summer could be the most beautiful place on the planet. You also know you're in Vancouver when you get rain, hail and sun all in the same day (aka yesterday).

I was drenched, yet it was an enthralling experience. Also it kind of reminds me of my town... It's quite rainy as well. icon_biggrin.gif

Vancouver is one place I have never been, but I really want to go sometime. I hear nothing but great things about it. It sure was represented well in the last Winter Olympics.

When I first read the headline, I thought to myself, what's so great about "the 'Couve" or "Vantucky"...

I lived in the other Vancouver for a few years. Having to explain to European friends and relatives that there is more than one Vancouver was not always easy.

I have only once been to the "other Vancouver" and I was impressed! At least the weather is virtually identical. icon_cool.gif
