Well, what did you read? If you don't mind can you post it?

I like Jewish people. My BF's a Jew.

My opinions of Jewish people (I'm sorry if these are borderline stereotypes, but these are only my personal opinions, and I can't help it if they are skewed due to my personal experiences): Career and finance oriented. Competitive. Hard-Working. (Mostly) Conservative. Values tradition and education. Actually, come to think of it, shares a lot of similarities with my culture / heritage icon_biggrin.gif

Jews and gays are natural friends, along with racial minorities, atheists, immigrants, intellectuals, artists, actors and other groups the conservative Christian right have used (for generations) as scapegoats, to whip up fear and anger among working class voters.

Recently I realized that the one ethnic group that no country in the world has been able to tolerate is the Romani (aka gypsies). They just never seem to be welcome anywhere they go.

Which Jews? In my experience, there are good ones and bad ones...just like any other group of people.

I have been strongly attracted to the Jewish people for a long time. I'm not Jewish but I have a strong empathy to those who have suffered for so long. The Jews are special and they have a treasure trove of talent within their population. I haven't really met too many gay Jews. I'm open for friendship if you're Jewish.

Someone said that they all have horns and secretly control the world. Someone else repeated the same thing, so it must be true. icon_rolleyes.gif

Black people and Jewish people love each other, but that's well known from long ago.

    Seriously, though, I love Jews.

Interesting observation that rings true but I think much more so culturally but only somewhat religiously.

I nearly was not Bar Mitzvah'd because I'd debate my cantor (the person who leads song in synagogue) the hypocrisy I found in Torah. I did my best to annoy him without outing myself. But to remain enrolled after many years of study, I'd finally learn to tow the line on the surface until I was declared responsible for my own actions, at which time I turned my back on the religion that would consider me to be an abomination unto their Lord and have not been back to temple since.

Though the more liberal and even conservative sects of the religion have become more tolerant, even accepting, the orthodox still abhor gay sexuality, not unlike fundamentalists of just about any religion. Kabbalah, the mystic aspect of Judaism, considers men only existing as whole beings when they are inside a vagina. But though they consider their Torah immutable in the hands of man, a concept popularized with the so-called Bible code, they have allowed an out in that they believe Torah can only be changed by Messiah. So it should be of comfort that Jesus enjoyed show tunes.

I like your attitude. I have a Jewish friend who came out long after his parents died. He said that if they knew he was gay, it would have been the world's first example of Jewish guilt going up a generation.

    Seek clarification before judgment.

It's such a broad question and the way it was asked suggests something odd. If it wasn't sketchy I would have expected more detail in the question.
