    Short Story:
There is apparently some strain between Iran's president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and the country's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Several of Ahmadinejad's supporters have been arrested for sorcery, apparently this has been caused by the non-traditional actions Ahmadinejad regularly does.

Let the leaders fight it out and [hopefully] kill each other.
Any country that has the death penalty for gays needs to be destroyed.
And the fact that they believe in sorcery is just ... icon_lol.gif

I hope this strain becomes a huge crack between the Iranian Leadership factions and that the public's efforts to free themselves goes into overdrive, just like in Egypt. Thing is, some in this leadership would have no hesitation to mow down demonstrators. The only way the public can win there in Iran is if the vast majority of the public stick together in mass demonstrations, shut downs, boycotts and so on. I sure hope the Iranian public can pull it off this time, if the opportunity comes from these inside conflicts, I am sure they are looking for every opening they can find.

You'd be surprised how many cultures deeply believe in witchcraft and sorcery. It's actually been a universal phenomenon within human history. Every culture in the past at some point has believed in magic and witchcraft. Today it remains a real deal especially within traditional African cultures.

But isn't witchcraft more or less the pejorative designation for paganism used by Christians, Jews and Muslims? Paganism is usually passed down through oral histories and traditions...and given that infrastructure in Africa varies greatly, it only makes sense that many Africans still retain faith in traditional beliefs.
