By dumb blind luck, I stumbled on to podrunner - you can get it through iTunes or here: http://www.djsteveboy.com/mixes.html

What's absolutely awesome about it is he lists the bpm so you can get something in just the range you're looking for.

Beastie Boys - Intergalactic

I always listen to my old mixes from my circuit party boy days. They are very nyc big club sounding and usually around 128-130 BPM. Very good for running.

I will try and post them for download somehow. They are a few years old but still rockin for the gym.

DJ Bens CD's

Impetus
Untitled Groove
Activation
Vitality
Pulse
Driven
Benson's Boat House

Funny, Gig and I both listen to the same running music....

I also listen to Fierce! (#11 & 12 are my favorites) mixes by Dj Alex Menaza and House Nation UK and House Nation Radio, all are podcasts.

HouseNation UK Podcast. Or really any house in general. Especially house mixes of 80's music.

I tried Pod Runner, really didn't work for me, just too.....blah? I dunno, I guess the constant BPM just bored me, I love the build ups.

I really like the Freemason Remix. Nowadays anyone can make a remix but they usually sound like crap.

Hmmm, I generally listen to funky house and plenty of Freemason's tracks and remixes, but to my shame at the moment I'm listening to a live version of Bruce Springteen's "Born to Run" - it makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up

The best cardio song I have right now is Rihanna - Please Dont Stop the Music!

I dont care how wore out I am, when that song comes on, and especially in the refrain, I get another fire in me!

Try it out :-)

GREAT THREAD!

I love the new Rihanna & Marooon 5 song whether I'm lifting or doing cardio. It gets me ramped up and I can get through any set.

Well I don't discriminate too much between cardio music and pump music (and any other jams for that matter), but a few goodies from the shuffle include:

Britney Spears - Break the Ice
Janet - Feedback (DJ Moto Mix or something)
Jimmy - Just Tonight
Dave - #41
Metallica - Fuel (S&M Version)
Daniel Beddingfield - Gotta Get Through This
Nickelback - Figured You Out
Incubus - Anna Molly
Story of the Year - Until the Day I Die
- Anthem of our Dying Day
Hairspray Cast - Without Love (haha)
LFO - Every Other Time
RHCP - Stadium Arcadium albums
Linkin Park - Meterora album

I don't have anything specific but the following albums always find their way to my mp3 player ... that is, when it works. The worst part is I had to buy these because my music subscription service doesn't have them!

Darude: Before the Storm
Darude: Label This
Vengaboys: The Party Album

I do a lot of time on the elliptical trainer and the songs with quick beats are great. But even slow songs are good too, just go 2x faster than the beat or whatever.

Lately:

Robyn - With Every Heartbeat
Santogold - Creator
Santogold - You'll Find a Way Remix
Honeyhoney - Little Toy Gun
Sarah McLachlan remixes

Edit: Hey that was weird - right after I posted this a commercial for Bud Light with Lime came on with Creator playing...

Pocket Full Of Sunshine(Remix) - Natasha Bedingfield
She bop - Cyndi Lauper (one of my favorites)
Crying in The Rain - Culture Beat
Zombie (German Techno Remix)- The Cranberries

All of those songs totally get me going!

Raw,

that was almost the worst song I ever heard. The band sucks and she can't sing one decent note!!!!!!!!!

I guess it makes you run fater imagining running away from the sound!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The House Nation UK Podcast, mixed by DJ Lee Harris is pretty much all I ever listen to for cardio now. I tried pod runner, but having the same BPM the whole time wasn't really good for me, cause I got really bored.

I recently added some new stuff and some old stuff:

Solange Knowles - I Decided (Love this song. Smart of her to differentiate herself sonically.)

Ne-Yo - Closer (Normally can't stand him, but this is the kind of song George Michael used to do well.)

N.E.R.D. - Yeah You.

George Michael - Freedom 90 (...I love that piano at the breakdown.)

Destiny's Child - Bootylicious (I try to run extra fast during this one, get that extra booty. )
