just something I learned today and thought I'd share icon_biggrin.gif

also I today at the gym, I looked like an idiot trying to get a paper towel out of the automatic dispenser, which was empty... it looked like I was waving hello to inanimate object hanging on the wall....

    Hope everyone had/has a great day! icon_smile.gif

With those accents, they sound identical.
Too bad they don't taste identical.
But they do kinda rhyme (beers sucks, bacon rocks). icon_biggrin.gif

I have a friend that anytime he tries to speak in a British accent, it comes out Jamaican.

What do you mean by British accent???/ There isnt one?

I suspect you mean Received Pronounciation, e.g. the old fashioned BBC speak!

Ive a Yorkshire accent and when I say Beer Can it sounds like Beer Can. Not Bacon.

    I dont get this......icon_mad.gificon_mad.gificon_mad.gif

hmmm, just tried that 'beer can' thing, my 'british' accent must be faulty or maybe there should be an over emphasised pause between the word 'beer' and 'can' and speaking as if you have just suffered from a stroke! :-)

    now it works, lol

When I say "Jesse Metcalf" with a Spanish accent, it sounds like "StandardSocal is superhumanly hot" in a Somalian accent...

    Strange, huh....?

well, I would be interested to hear which 'British' accent was used then trying this little experiment.

    Great Britain (British English)
    Black British English
    England (English language in England)
    Northern
    Cheshire
    Cumbrian (Cumbria including Barrow-in-Furness)
    Geordie (Tyneside)

    Scouse (Merseyside)
    Mancunian-Salfordian (Manchester & Salford)
    Mackem (Sunderland)
    Northumbrian (rural Northumberland)
    Pitmatic (Durham and Northumberland)
Yorkshire (also known as Broad Yorkshire or Tyke)
In the far north, local speech is noticeably Scots in nature.
    East Midlands
    West Midlands
    Black Country English
    Brummie (Birmingham)
    Potteries (north Staffordshire)
    Southern
Received Pronunciation (Also known as Queen's English or BBC English)
    Cockney (East End of London)
East Anglian (Norfolk/Broad Norfolk, Suffolk and North Essex)
    Estuary (Thames Estuary)
    Kentish (Kent)
    Multicultural London English (Inner London)
    Sussex
    West Country
    Scotland
    Scottish English
    Wales
    Welsh English
    Cardiff
    Northern Ireland

"Whale eye beef hooked" in an American accent sounds like "Well I'll be fucked" in an Irish accent.
