I loved his idea of criticizing President Clinton for infidelity while he was currently having an affair. What a smart idea that was.

He'll take Trump apart piece by piece. Two of my other favorites won't run, which of course would be Dick Cheney - age and health, and Jeb Bush won't go for it until 2016. So I guess my favorites at this moment would be Gingrich and Daniels if he runs and then Huck and Romney.

Poor taste to mimic John Edwards?

Actually, I just wanted to see if we could make it five minutes before the personal attacks started - we made it two.

This will be his downfall and ultimate failure:

"but his tumultuous personal life and penchant for generating controversy are two traits he will have to work to overcome to prove himself a viable candidate for the GOP nomination."

    Voters are very simple creatures.

If Trump runs it will be well worth it to watch the debate between those two. Gingrich, aside from his personal foibles, is IMO a brilliant mind with a commanding sense of history and full of ideas. Trump has a great big mouth and I don't think really knows all that much.

Right this minute, I'm real pleased with what Obama pulled off, in an area that I think is the primary constitutional duty of a president. He tried nice guy for two years and found that didn’t work all that well so the balls to the wall approach is one I find very appealing.

Out of 300+million people in this country, and this is the best shit they can come up with for Presidential candidates?

He has too much negative baggage to be nominated, but he will make it an interesting conversation.

Newt Gingrich will likely be gone, if not before, then shortly after Iowa. I have a feeling he's got a rude awakening in front of him when he learns that it's highly likely that most of America can barely stomach him as a person, much less a Presidential candidate. I can't barely stomach Huckabee either. As for Mitch Daniels, I know little if anything about him -- and I suspect neither do most Americans. Mitt Romney I would give serious consideration too if he runs a good campaign and presents some solid and fresh ideas. I have enormous respect fot the man and I think he would be an excellent President.

I'm not calling HIM stupid, I'm calling most of the voters stupid.
The only way to disagree with that statement is to be one of the stupider voters. icon_wink.gif

Mitch has two big negatives going against him - he's short with a comb over. He also needs to ramp up the intensity level quite a bit to get through the primaries. Gingrich is just too polarizing and loves it. Huck, although I really like as a person, has been away from governing too long. Pawlenty I haven’t seen enough – same with Huntsman. I don’t really dislike any of them, but I’m not real super hot on any of them either. Probably overall, Romney at this point. I wish Jeb Bush would be willing to give it a go in 2012 instead of waiting for 2016.

]There's a bloody big diffrence to a businessman having a fling, and criticising the person in America's highest position from turning the White House into the dirtiest little whore house in Washington, and lying under oath with "I never had sexual relation with that woman!"

Now if Donald Becomes President of the U.S., and he cheats on the first lady thats a diffrent matter; but until then, Donald criticising all you want.

I met Jon Huntsman this weekend at a small reception following his commencement address at USC. He is an impressive man. He is smart, he wants to put America to work and, importantly, he has a global perspective that is very refreshing.

I wonder about his ability to win the nomination in this climate, however. He is too centrist. He has solid democrat credentials as the wildly popular Governor of Utah (when Utah as 2% unemployment), but he is pro-choice and he is in favor of civil unions, two hot button issues which will hurt him with the GOP base, especially here in the South.

I normally vote Democrat, but I really liked him.

Voters can be stupid, such as voting for someone with no experience and falling for fluff, such as hope and change. But stupidity only rears it's head on occasion. If the voters wise up, they will pick a good candidate and a descent new president.

He is not a Rove operative.. he has no chance. Until Rove is deceased and worm food, the GOP has absolutely no chance of anything but destruction.
Rove is most likely the most dangerous thing to have breathed air in the last 50 yrs.
