It really shouldn't be done should it?

Sometimes for me its unavoidable and sometimes it does actually make me feel better!

And please don't say "quit drinking!"

    Anyone else do this?

It really shouldn't be done. I learned the hard way.

Ehh maybe I shouldn't do it but I do it all the time. I mean I make sure I am adequately hydrated and all that jazz. It actually helps my hangover go away. Running does that too.

That's the worst, I hate doing that and feel like I wasted a workout. If I am hungover I will just wait until later in the day to hit the gym or just take the day off and go even harder the next day.

I don't think I could ever do it. Ugh. icon_cry.gif It's probably doing more harm than good I'd imagine, but I'm no doctor.

Makes me feel better. You just sweat out the alcohol while working out and then jumping in the steam room makes it even better.

it makes me feel better, think it helps to metabolize the alcohol

I don't know what type of hangover your having, but if I have one the last thing I want to do is be bouncing around, and crap. My head already hurts, things seems fuzzy, my muscles ache, and already considering you probably are experiencing some kind of fluid electrolyte imbalance/acid base imbalance I would attempt it...

Ok, KEEP drinking. That will prevent a hangover. icon_biggrin.gif

I do it every Saturday pretty much...I agree, it's real tough starting out, but you will feel much better afterwards.

I think it helps. Usually when I am hung over I go for long walks and it passes. I guess it could also be that my long walks take a lot of time and it just passes due to the time.

Super idea. You're already dehydrated. Make sure to drink tons of water.

Everyone else can smell your alcohol sweat. Everyone.
If you have to work out, do something outdoors. Go for a run, go for a bike ride, etc.

I'm pretty good - I do wait until much later in the day and make sure I have had plenty of water/isotonic drinks etc. Last night I was hungover thanks to a works night out the night before (aye, on a Monday) and still managed to have a reasonable workout on weights - managed to push myself even harder. Weird....

Working out hungover is the best way to train yourself not to indulge yourself.
I know we're gay and we're supposed to drink and smoke so much that we get camcer more than our str8 neighbors, but who are you looking out for? Why can't we be gay and not do things that kill us? Like, having a writers dachau, where we drink tea in the afternoon instead of vodka? Hey it's a crazy idea, I know.

If I didn't go to the gym everytime I was hungover I would barely go!! In all seriousness though, getting the blood moving is good, working out hungover.... its a good thing

Yeah, I actually drink while working out. I bring a bottle of vodka with me. It really gets me going.

I always feel better after a work out when I do it hung over. I'm actually pretty amazed at myself when I'm able to get a 10 mile run in with a massive hangover.

And barriehomeboy, I don't drink excessively because I'm gay. I drink excessively because I enjoy drinking excessively. :-)
