Is anal sex safe if I've had an intestinal procedure done?

Although I'm not entirely sure if I'm gay yet (go figure), (I'm a virgin and never had sex before), but I'm worried that if the day comes and I do decide to have sex with a guy, that it might be dangerous for me.

I had Ulcerative Colitis when I was younger and had my large intestine removed. I had to have an ileostomy for 3 months and then had it reverse. So I do have normal bowel movements and stuff and no longer have a bag, but do you think it would be safe for me to have anal?

I mean, I basically don't have a colon or anything, so I don't know if having anal would damage any of the surgery I had done.

You can read about the exact procedure I had done here, and let me know what you think.

Definitely a question for your doctor, or even a colo-rectal surgeon who may be able to provide more information than your primary on the possible complications of having anal sex after removal of the large intestine.

Agree, and with BambinoRex's same comment above. A medical question for someone qualified who has examined you, not for an online audience to advise.

tangent: in a forum where some guys say things like "i don't bottom" "i can't bottom" "i'm not innately a bottom" etc...... this is the only instance in which i'd actually accept it as being a possible physical truth. other stuff is just in people's heads.

more power to you. and remember, just because you might not be able to handle the same things you might have before, doesn't mean you can't enjoy sensations from all the nerve endings in that area:

Definitely hit up a doctor, but here's something you might want to read as a precursor just to familiarize/prepare yourself.

Looks like I'll never have a decent life. I'm already uncomfortable enough with the fact that I'm attracted to men (something I know I'll have to get over). Then, once I come to terms with that and decide to hook up with a guy, I'll have to deal with this. Does it ever end?
