Every year I get them aroung this time of the year. I am only allergic to this particulate tree pollens. I don't get allergies rest of the year, and if I go away (like on trip), my symptoms magically disappear. But I cannot just go away for like 3 weeks and neglect my job. I tried local honey and am currently trying grape seed extracts. Zyrtec stopped working a long time ago icon_cry.gif

    .....what do I do?

Have you tried nasal cleansing or irrigation? You can either try using saline nasal sprays or a saline solution through a netti pot to clean out your nasal passages. Of course, you look stupid doing it, but it's pretty effective for some people. I don't suffer from season allergies, but I like to use the netti pot whenever I have nasal congestion from a cold.

Yep, that's it. I don't recommend buying the solution packets because they're nothing but salt anyway. Not to mention they're incredibly overpriced. Just use a combination of non-iodized salt and a bit of baking soda. It's going to feel weird the first few times you do it. You'll probably even choke a bit from the water draining down the back of your throat. But you get the hang of it.

MuchMoreThanMuscle saidI have a neti pot. It really is great. I forget to use it everyday but I feel much better and I do not feel stupid while using one.

Hey bud, this is so funny, I was just thinking about you when I was buying two cantaloups like ten minutes ago! Hahaha. My skin's definitely clearer but I'll let you know in a few weeks about the other effects! Thanks again man icon_biggrin.gif

@ Nico. Thanks I'll play around with it. I even have pH testing strips from lab so I can make sure it is the right pH icon_biggrin.gif

@ StephenGee: what's gypsy tea? Sounds like the concoction that in that episode of Seinfeld...icon_lol.gif

Tons of OPC antioxcidents containing red grape seed extract will take care of it for you! It did for me. icon_biggrin.gif

That actually helped. Apparently antioxidant and anti-inflammatory stuff work well for allergies too. I'm glad too. icon_biggrin.gif

More good advice that helped lessen mine, was to take a shower or at least wash your hair when you get home at the end of the day.

Pollen gets attached to your body, your clothes, and especially in your hair (depending on your hair, obviously) and you're continually exposed to it even though you're inside with the windows closed.

With jackets and shoes you've worn outside, keep them in a front hall closet or at least in a room other than your bedroom.
