Why do most white guys only date other white guys and why do black guys only date other black guys?

Its just something Ive noticed in the gay community even online, I see things like "whites only" just a preference etc.

It's racism at its best if you ask me. Gay guys are the racists of all people, even more than the republicans that eat the bones of poor skinny orphans for lunch. Sickening.

Really? But you would think since gay men (white, black, asian etc) have experienced discrimination from straight society that they should know how it feels and not discriminate against each other in the community for their differences.

You would think that, and this is true for the older generations. But apparently gay men just take all that hatred, and direct it at each other, especially others of different race. It's like by doing so, they feel better about themselves. Sad. I do that sometimes but I vow not to become a bigot. That shits too ignorant and too stupid. But I'm telling ya, it's the whites that are the worst. They may not say it because it's socially unacceptable, but they do behind closed doors where no one can hear them. Sick sick sick!

I would just walk out the door and stop being their friends when I encounter those racism comments.

Thats a good point but it just seems so contradictory the the gay community. Have these men forgotten that there are straight white men who call them faggots behind closed doors and even to their faces? Have they forgotten that there are people who would rather kill a gay man for being gay yet they cant look past someone's color? It is pretty tragic if thats the case

It really is. It's the saddest thing. But it's ok, it's mostly in the USA. European and Aussie white guys would still date a men outside of their race. Just not the stupid American white guys.

And you know. Now the society is coming more accepting of gays, this racial problem within the gay community will get much worse. So to summarize, American gay guys are stupid racists who are full of fucking hatred. They use the only thing that have for them, being white, and direct all that hate towards others, in order to feel better about themselves. The end.

This uber sensitivity needs to go away.

Can't it be as simple as I'm just not attracted to black guys? Or do I have to be a bigot?

Really? I guess I missed that. But being monogamous, I'm not trolling profiles anyway.

In 1970 my best Army buddy was Black. I should have realized I was really dating him, but I was so stupid then, in deep, deep denial.

But you should have seen the shocked reactions of the local civilians, when we went off post together around Fort Knox, Kentucky, sitting down for dinner or a movie, at a bar, a White & Black guy. Scandal! This was an area that still had "Colored" rest rooms and water fountains when I attended the Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs.

Do you think I gave a fuck about their racial prejudice? This guy was my friend, I think the smartest soldier in our unit, one of the reasons I liked him. If I like you I like you, I don't care what the color of your skin is, that's the most irrelevant thing about you. Unless, of course, it's a big deal to you, then I'll respect your concerns. But as for me, doesn't mean a thing.

    Yes to both, obviously.

I've sort of learned that it's important to realize that 'most' is simply that. MOST! It's not all. It's not everyone who flocks with the same feather.

If I were to keep wondering why people do what they do I would drive myself crazy. But fact of that matter is, if I can travel the country and see that everything isn't static, that makes me happy enough. I can prove myself wrong!

Yes there are racist out there, but more often than not most people feel a connection with a similar race than another. It's upbringing, it's ignorance, and it's complacency all wrapped in one.

But realize that 'most' does not mean that they're aren't MANY who don't stay within the bubble. Other people can like whom they choose to like. If anything, that means more Latin American men for me icon_razz.gif

And it's not just Black and White. Cubans may date exclusively Cuban, Asians might have the same criteria, Puerto Ricans may not even think about dating a Mexican. It's just human nature that as harsh as it seems it's a fact of life but it's not written in stone. People are still willing to cross the boundaries at any point.

No, that's being ignorant. Why don't rather you say what you are attracted to instead of what you aren't.

You have to accentuate the positive. Why put in energy disliking a certain type of guy when you could describe the type of guy you are looking for? I just don't understand why someone has to throw in, "I don't like...I don't like, I don't like..."

fuck what you don't like, what do you like?!

I don't understand when people tell me, "I don't like White guys". OK, what the fuck hell does that have to do with me? I aint White!

um because that wasn't the topic. I was simply responding to the original posts which theorized that white guys who aren't into black guys must be racists. Which is so untrue.

Im just telling the truth, I'm not being the insecure one.

And I'm just telling you what you stated, "not into (insert race) guys" is Ignant. Being ignant is just as bad as being racists.

You'll never here me saying I'm not into a particular race. I may say I have not come across said race in said city...but one thing I do know is that an attraction can develop among any race.

calling me 'ignant' because I'm being honest in stating that I'm simply not sexually attracted to black guys is, in itself, ignorant.

An attraction may develop among any race -- for you (especially if they have money, right). For me, sorry, still not into black dudes.
