This video and movements like this give me hope that we can still save the dying species and our environment, people just need to wake the fuck up.

This is great, but I think it's too late to "wake" people. I believe the only way to save the Earth at this point is mass extinction of mankind. Not until enormous hits are made to our out of control population will the Earth be able to recover from what we've done to it. I'm not trying to be negative, but this is truly what I believe after witnessing the apathy of my fellow humans.

I understand what you mean, the population size is tooo big and its growing at an exponential rate. I just think that people are toooooo busy with their lives that they really and i mean REALLY DO NOT recognize the beauty of everyday life in the wild. ITS AMAZING but people are blinded and cant see it to save it, which is a shame

Living on the Gulf Coast during the oil disaster really drove home to me just how apathetic people are. Even as the ocean was dying, they were screaming about how we needed to keep drilling and how important "jobs" were. Never once thinking that their jobs wouldn't mean shit if our oceans are dead.

I've been recycling every bit I can for years, even carrying soda cans and bits of paper from work home so I can recycle it. Then I go to a local restaurant here (La Madeline) and they're serving all their dine-in guests in Styrofoam. I asked to see the manager and asked her why they were doing this. She said she got tired of replacing glasses when they got broken. She was very dismissive when I said I thought that was irresponsible. Only after I called their corporate office did they stop using Styrofoam for dine-in's. I look at me saving scraps of paper and shopping at thrift stores so that I can reuse, and then I see corporations doing shit like this and I think what's the use!

Recycling paper and plastic are useless - paper is a renewable product and plastic does more damage recycling it than making more of it.

Metal and glass are worth recycling though.

yea people didnt understand that the oil damaged life that has been there for 1000s of years and the reef itself prolly took even longer to make! people honestly do not care about it because it doesnt directly effect them. lets keep drilling something that is finite and use it like its infinite...great idea.

I only get upset when couples spawn children left and right. My brother and sister both have more than 2 children. I see no need for more than one child. I guess in the end only apocalyptic changes will force change in humans.

Until there is an immediate danger like the Earth manifesting, making terrorizing videos, and stabbing people to death or something the US is not likely to do much.

We don't deal well with problems that require the attention span of more than one election unless someone is in a bureaucratic position with power and conviction (which would be the EPA, if it weren't neutered).
