Getting tested after the 2nd month

I had my first experience with a guy on April 3 through Grindr. I regretted it afterwards, that kind of hookup basically didn't gel with me and I deleted the app. We used two condoms for anal sex (I received and he switched condoms because of me not being completely empty down there). However we didn't use any condoms for oral sex and anything beyond possible precum didn't get into my mouth. I fingered him stupidly when I had a cut on my finger but it was an old cut that had pretty much healed with some dead skin near where the cut had been.

Since I was freaking out for a good part of that month from getting any kind of std I decided to get tested May 3rd. The 20 minute test result came back negative and after that fun experience of waiting for 10 days to get back all the results I was negative for everything which left me with pretty high spirits.

I'm debating whether I should go and get tested this June 3rd and if it would be a waste of time or not. I'm going to be a few floors above the clinic getting my second hepatitis B vaccination shot. Do you guys think that I should get tested again just for HIV just to put my mind at rest again? Also if I come back negative should I bother going back in July? I'm also considering when going June 3rd and getting a HPV vaccination shot if they allow me to take it so what are your thoughts on that too.

I feel like once I get past the six month window or whatever I won't be so crazy about this, but the internet can be scary place when you have any kind of symptom/ailment.

I don't think you need to get tested for the one encounter. However, I imagine that you will want to have more sex in your life, so find a doctor who is gay, or who is empathetic towards gays, undertstands hiv, stds and get on a 6 month program of being tested. Also become more educated about STDs, safe sex and enjoy.

You really don't need to get tested again so quickly, but getting tested once a month for HIV certainly isn't the worst habit to start. Do what makes you feel comfortable.
