Is this a new fashion trend or something? I have seen two guys now...my boss and I dont remember who the other one was...wearing bright brown .... unmistakeable brown... shoes with otherwise blue or gray outfits. Is this some new cool fashion trend?

yes its possible to execute such a look sexy...its actually not a trend but an institutionalized look in fashion..especially in Italy.

You always wear brown shoes with a blue suit. Not "bright brown" but normal brown.

It's more a European thing, they've been doing it for ages.
If they can pull it off, so can we. icon_cool.gif

no they are not, not anyone can wear them though. they should be pin striped and not just navy blue. plain blue ones are for those who like polyester blends and/or work for the airlines.

In Europe we can pull of everything, we don't wear oversized suits with ugly shoes. Why should we?

    :p

FAIL. Not because of the shoe color... at least the shoes appear to fit!

These 'skinny' suits look painted on... two sizes too small/short. Can the guys pictured actually sit down to meet/discuss business?? Ouch...

This is perfectly normal in Europe, particularly blue suits and brown shoes. Never realised I was making a statement by doing it in America. What I can't stand is seeing, with such ease, the pairing of blue and green - at least in Chicago. It's such a car crash. One day I even saw a man wearing blue and green with black and brown.

yourname2000 saidAnd I think this thread demonstrates why a "men's style" forum would be a good idea (along with a "grooming" forum.) I think these would mesh with the "dating and relationships" forum, especially on a gay men's site.

Worst combo of all time. I've only seen it pulled off ONCE - by a female wearing a fabulous dress in a modern minimalistic colour-block style that made her curvy body look sexy as hell.

Brown shoes with a blue suit is standard color matching...what color would you wear? black shoes with blue suit? I'll revoke your gay card right here, right now. nothings more straight, or more vulgar than black shoes with a blue suit.
