I learned about a fascinating creature today.

    Sesia+apiformis+-+Hornet+Moth.jpg

Would you believe that this is actually a species of moth? It's a Hornet Moth. Fortunately it's harmless like most other moths.

I'm sure all those with insect phobias (particularly of bees, wasps, and hornets like me) are going to have nightmares from seeing that. But I couldn't help but find it interesting too.

Post other interesting critters that are perhaps less scary than this moth, haha. But I appreciate weird ones! Mother Nature is full of crazy and strange life forms.

Or this: this is electronic one. Zaps bugs to crisps by electrocuting them. You can smell the proteins burning btw. Really satisfying too.

Just the other week while planting some more palms I was about to rest when I found this guy had dibs to the bench. I haven't identified him yet...

    The barnacle.

This is for all the size queens. It has the largest penis to body ratio of any animal.

I LOVE seahorses! I have 2 tattooed on me. Hoping to get a sea dragon
and a spiny sea horse inked on me sometime in the future.

I find Cuttlefish very interesting. They have 3 hearts, green blood, and can change colors instantly! Not too mention their adorable tentacle covered face.

Jump to the 1:10 marker, to see Cuttle-adorableness.

Have you heard the cry of the red fox? (Turn down the volume before you hit play!)

YES! This reminds me so much of home! My old house where I grew up was by the woods, so there were all sorts of critters back there including Red Foxes. I very much remember hearing those kinds of cries during mating season. Always scared the crap out of me because they sounded like someone was screaming from getting attacked.

Haha I'm sort of ambivalent towards fish but those cuttlefish were adorable! xD
