    While most Americans are having to postpone care, the nation's major health insurers are making record profits for the third straight year.

    They're private companies. Their reason for existence is to make profits for their owners and shareholders. The insurance is just a means to an end.
    Yet somehow, government run insurance means death panels and Stalin! Perhaps Darth Vader too.
    The government is incompetent and can't be expected to run anything, like the military, or the national parks, or the FDA, etc etc.icon_rolleyes.gif

    Yea but at the same time it is insurance, and government regulated for a reason.


    Remember when blue cross wanted to raise rates by, like, 35%? Then post record profits? Ridiculous.
