I want everyone to be honest: looking at my picture, who of you would be attracted to me? I want to bulk up, but my gut is kind of getting in the way, and I'm wondering if it's worth it.icon_confused.gif

You can always trim down too man.

It starts with time. I was a twig when I started, now I got some meat on me.

Talk to Paulflex, he was a former fattie I believe.

I know, I'm just kind of testing the waters. Everyone says I have time to work on my body, but that's only half of it: what if I want love? I may sound a bit melodramatic, but it seems that everyone here is attracted to either muscle or bears, and as I'm in that odd between-stage, I'm just wondering which way I should go, because eventually, i want to meet that someone. *sigh*

It is much more healthy, and I believe more attractive, to go with the muscle. I find it hard to believe that a lot of guys, who look like huge bears, are happy with their appearance and I know their physcians are not happy with all the excess fat. A healthy diet and a good exercise program should get you where you want to be.

honest answer: you're not my ideal, but i don't judge people solely on their looks. i'm not casting a perfume ad, i'm living my life. people bring more to the table than their appearance. i'd consider it.

so i would just dress to accentuate your best points as you evolve

but do not do what a friend of mine does.

he complains he wants love. i know someone he could date, my friend has the build to be a muscle bear. he'll never be lean, but he could be more fit. but he just feels sorry for himself. i told him the guy might be into him.

    his response:

"well, i'm not gonna go to the gym. if someone is gonna love me, they have to love me exactly as i am"

it's basically saying that basic fitness (not bodybuilding) is an extra luxury and not part of routine maintenance. based on that, people shouldn't brush their teeth, comb their hair or wipe their asses either.

    Here's my two cents:

Trim down first, then bulk up. Your self confidence will improve.

There's a couple of physical trainers who are teaching a "fitness for fun" group every saturday afternoon, all spring and summer long, at Boulevard Park from 1pm-3pm ... you should go, they have a wealth of info and its free!

Thank you for the advice, everyone. I think I know what I'm gonna do now. I'm gonna try and get as toned and beefed up as I can, to make up for the gut. Sure, I'll lose a little weight, but guys, you like 'em big, right? ;D

I like them big, but I don't want a gut hanging in my face as I suck their cock! Bear guys, because of the fat around their cocks, have smaller cocks also.

You will reach your goal quicker i you concentrate on losing the fat first. And not everyone likes the same body type. Plus you need to have your own goals and not try to become something for other people. No matter which direction you choose, someone will be into that type. But don't try "bulking up" until you take some fat off.

If you want me to be honest, I'll say no. I'm just not into the overweight thing. But if you really want to bulk up or lose some it, you can do it. I don't really understand weight loss since I'm naturally slender, so I won't judge. But keep at it and you'll get there =]

Come on man, you are an INFP (your profile..) hah, you aren't supposed to want to ask these questions ;)

I think you need to lose some weight and not just because society deems thin or quasi-muscular the "norm." Your body fat is a recipe for high blood pressure, diabetes and cardiac disease. Any one of which can kill and all of which will make for a long hard life riddled with medical problems when you get older. I wish I could give you the memories I have of overweight middle aged men who "never thought it would be them" having heart attacks, aortic dissections, diabetic complications and strokes. The truly sad part is so much of that can be avoided but we think from a looking glass. We see ourselves as others see us and that is a decidedly unfortunate way of thinking beyond an aesthetic level.

You need to start thinking about yourself before you think about what other people are thinking. You owe it to yourself to be healthy and live a good life. The confidence that comes with that should answer your question on a much deeper level than just, who will fuck me.

I didn't mean that I wanted to gain weight. I'm not entirely that fat. I guess I didn't really come on here with a legitimate question in mind. My head is all kinds of confused. :s

Everyone has stated the positive reasons for loosing weight...and I agree...however...Ryan...there are many men that like Big Guys...and I don't mean muscular....there are many groups, clubs, and organizations that features this kind of relationships....if you are looking for a relationship...this may be the way to go while you are at the size you are....however...if you are looking for hot sex with hot guys blah, blah, blah....then hire a fitness trainer and get to work...I was a chunky kid...not fat...however...I look at a piece of cake and I will gain 10 pounds...so I do not do it...cause I like guys that are fit as well as attractive...however a Big guy can be attractive too.....so the choice is yours...eitherway you can get what you want....Good Luck
