I'm running a "boot camp" type class tomorrow for one of my classes at school. The lesson is Recurrent resistance and endurance training. The class will be split up in teams of five. Each person on the team must complete 15 reps of an exercise (all body weight exercices) before moving on to the next exercise (a total of 4 exercises). We will be in a gym (4 courts in this gym). After each member completes all reps of all 4 exercises, each member must do a lap around the entire gym and tag off 1 at a time like a relay. We will do this for four sets. Which body weight exercises would you choose?

    Im thinking:
    1) Pushups
    2) Situps (NOT crunches)
    3) Jumpsquats
    4) Mountain Climbers

    Let's hear your ideas...

Those are good! Some I use that might be of interest are:

    -crocodile walks (need towel)
-sit outs (with/without pushups, i do just sit outs)
    -wheelbarrow
    -burpees/8 count body builders

To make them hate u, try ending it with everyone doing wall squats, 90' leg angle baby, for 2 min, timer starting when the last person gets to the wall to begin icon_twisted.gif

I'm not sure what they are called, but this routine I'm doing calls for people to drop to the floor, crank out eight push ups, stay in the push up/plank position while running with the legs for an eight count, jump up, dive down and repeat. Makes me winded just thinking about it.

Also maybe you could throw in some low plank obliques where you get in low plank position and then bring your legs toward the shoulders to really burn the obliques.

Hahahaha... I like the wall squats!!

and Sashaman- sounds tough! I'll probably try this on my own for myself but I can already picture in my head the mayhem and confusion explaining to everyone how to do this.. ha would be funny to watch though

    Serve ice cream.

or do negative flies in partners - 'spotter' adds resistance by pushing out - palm to palm and trainee resists the push down by keeping tension. Full extension, very little flexion at the elbow, shoulders back. Switch places, repeat.

here is the deal. there are tons are things you can do. plyo split squats, abs for 30 seconds. make sure they have at least 2 exercises and planks are always great.

if you have them they can do jumping jacks and high knees.
they can jump rope and even box jumps. dude, there are tons of things you can do. stop stressing, take a deep breath and put some ideas down on paper.
