What should I expect?

My friends are either working until late or don't want to go to Long Beach pride on Saturday. So, basically I won't have anything to do until late at night. I'm thinking about (pretty sure I'm going) to pride alone. I've only met other gays through school and the internet I've never been to a gay bar, club, ghetto (went to WeHo twice), or pride. To the guys that have been to this specific pride what would I expect? Do the people tend to be friendly or unapproachable and cliqueish?

I'm really not trying to hear from the anti- "gay scene" guys. Please save it dudes.

I've never been to a Pride event, but only because I've always been scheduled to work during them.
Going to any event by yourself shouldn't be an issue as long as you're comfortable with crowds.

I have been to many (at least 10). People will be friendly and approachable if you are approachable and friendly.

From my experience the events are very civilized and fight/trouble free even late at night when people have had more to drink.

You can have fun by yourself but it's better with friends.

There should be a lot of organized parties after the event too. Buy tickets ahead of time.

Thanks, I'm trying to make myself be more independent, and not wait for my friends to do everything with me. I like to think I'm pretty outgoing.

Don't hesitate to go alone if that is what it takes. Pride is a much finer place to meet Ppl., than the usual. I don't go anymore, but always met friendly & playful Ppl !
