for any who like the ME franchise ...

    Casey Hudson confirmed .
there will be same sex romance in ME3 , to come out in early 2012 .

they will be pre-existing characters from ME and ME 2 .
probably Kaidan and male version of Shepard.

    yay

you'll love ME2 , though some details were better in ME 1. ( regarding ammo for one thing )
but the graphics are great and action more fluid , battles are more strategic , especially on insanity mode.
    i just love that game.

    soundtrack is excellent too.

there's been quite a bit of requests on Bioware forums for s/s LI .
And from what i read , the developers had included gay options for ME2 but some higher execs wiped them out. It's come back to haunt them, lol.

I'm really looking forward to ME3 but i'm praying every night to avoid a repeat of Dragon Age 2 disaster.

    What's wrong with DA2?

I've read that the game feels rushed- but that's about it... People have speculated that it was rushed because SW:ToR is taking so long to complete and requires a lot of funding. icon_eek.gif It'll earn them more in the long run though.

ok, disaster was too strong a word.

disappointment from its fan base is more like it.
Bioware had promised all sorts of "awesome" which didn't take place ...
they limited choices drastically compared to Origins .

If they were gonna have this option anyway in the third game, why couldn't they have just included it in the first game? I find it silly that I have to play through the series again just so I can have my Shepard be gay and stay faithful to whoever will be the gay romance in ME3.

i believe the ME team at BW has tuned in to requests on their forums.
There have been many threads , groups asking for s/s esp. since there was some f/f stuff ( asaris ) already but no m/m .
According to what i read, the writers had included s/s romances all along the trilogy but some homophobic execs crossed those out it seems. Except this time, they've been overridden...
Since Casey 'hudson announced it, threads keep being locked down because of too much flaming lol ... and we thought gays were bitchy queens. icon_eek.gif
on top of that with the trailers revealed at E3 , fans are now criticizing the use of kinect, others are afraid rpg has given in to plain combat CoD type.

i'm very glad i'll get Shep to be gay, but i love the combats and i'm sure there will be enough rpg and i don't care about kinect, i play PC .
The trailers make me drool over me3 . =)

RPG gamers are only rivaled in their fickleness by MMORPG gamers (coming from someone who grew up playing MMO's and JRPGS). Mass effect 2 was much better than one yet people complained that they got rid or RPG elements (when in reality they enhanced most of them). The combat is fun and satisfying, the storyline is exciting, and the characters are likable (except Zaeed and Jack who should both be tossed out the airlock).

That being said, Jacob could get it.

DoomsD I'm with you here . Plus I loved the combats in ME2 , esp close range with the sentinel popping my tech armor.
Have you guys watched the E3 trailers ? There are 3 I think and man , they're great, the cut scenes and actual game are almost seamless.

    Yup, according to the wiki:
Mass Effect WikiHidden dialogue shows Kaidan at some point was intended to be a romance option for a male Shepard, but this option was removed in the final version. It is possible for a male Shepard to have a romance with Kaidan through the use of save edits although some of the dialogue options are missing.

The same could be done for Ashely. More interesting is that these save edits transfer to Mass Effect 2 with no detrimental side effects, suggesting that game designers were aware and compensated to the transfer of these edits.

Nooo, I let Kaiden die. (It didn't make sense not to, I had to protect the bomb that Ashley was guarding. Sure they said it was foolproof, but a ship could have come and picked it up, I just couldn't let myself not guard it. I can't even stand Ashley.)

Now Garrus, him I'd like to get it on with!

you could probably use Gibb edit to mod your ME2 saves so that Kaidan remains alive and Ashley dies. ( I've done that to kill Samara and use Morinth to get Dominate.. i got Morinth alright but Dominate never appeared. icon_sad.gif ).

If not, hurry up , do a quick ME2 run ( no DLCs, or side missions except maybe the Anomaly Weather for the Damage protection bonus ) , do not import a save and play Genesis at the beginning ( you can d/l from Bioware for free i think ) . You then get to make decisions about ME1 without playing it . ( my case )
