I'm really attracted to American guys, and think they're a lot hotter than most of the gay guys over here in the U.K!

but i was wondering is this true or is it just a case of the grass is always greener.....?

what do you all think?

I'm the opposite. I find U.K. accents attractive as hell.

Grass is greener.

Have you ever been to one of the theme parks in America? There are people so huge they need wheelchairs.

Yes, which exist everywhere in the US...

except that they dont....

Its definately a grass is greener situation. There are likely places in both with a higher concentration of hotness, maybe you're just not seeing the right spots over there

Hardly surprising point of view.

gayroy lives in Wales, which is particularly bad for choice of men (lots of sheep though...haha).

I think it's a grass is greener thing too. I always thought of UK guys as being real hotties. Except for Benny Hill and Winston Churchill, they were nice enough an all but, just didn't shizzle my kanizzle.

Guys, guys, the grass is greener and it smells good and it tastes great. The men in the U.K. haven't been cut at birth, the way we were. They're all natural and they taste great.

There a ton of smokin' hot American men, but for my plate a hot guy from the U.K. will keep me goin' back to the buffet table.

If I had to chose between US and UK I would have to say US. I am not a fan of the english accent, whether it be the queens english or cockney-ish. However there are a lot of other europeans living in the bigger cities like London, so that provides a lot of good diversity Generally speaking, the european has an edgier fashion sense. Even the straight guys wear the right jeans, and have cool hair and i am not talking the D&G euro queens either, I am talking about the average european man... On the other hand, and generally speaking, the average american's sense of fashion is not always dead on.

If I had to pick a genetic pool that produces the best looking offspring, for my tastes, it would be israel - yum...

Hmm, I'd have to say US men. I've been to London a couple times with friends to visit a friend who lives there. One topic that came up multiple times was the lack of cute men in London.

Grass is Greener.

Sure you might find American guys hot until you find out what games they like to play and how they can't commit. May I ask WHY you think American gay men are hotter than U.K? Is it becuase Americans eat more and grow bigger? Those big muscle guys may LOOK attractice, but god, wait until you see them EAT. Please, have a barf bag handy because it is gross and they graze all day. I mean I do it when I bulk too, but I've been told I make stuffing your face look good.

"I am not a fan of the english accent, whether it be the queens english or cockney-ish. "

There are lots more to choose from:-) The accent changes every 80 miles or so (except in London - where it's even more localised, north is different to south London).Try a Geordie , even we need interpreters,or a Scot.

there's just alot more buff guys by critical volume in the US thats all

I've never been to the US or the UK, but American guys seem to appeal to me more.

However, since there are more American men than British men in the world, I guess the odds favor the former. There's a greater chance of finding a hot American than a hot Brit.

But I adore the British accent.

Having lived in the UK, I think I can weigh in on this one.

Americans have their downsides, a lot of ppl are overweight and yes, many American's have poor taste in fashion. However, if you're in the cities most American men dress well and keep fit.

If you go out to the British countryside it can be just as scary looking. And I found a lot of pretention and attitude. Also prefer American accents now that I have lived on both sides of the pond.

I tend to prefer Americans. There's a lot of diversity of looks and I dunno...I found British men either hideous or gorgeous with very little in between.

Now, if I had to choose the best gene pool, I'd have to go with either the Aussies, the Brazilians or the Israelis.

That said...I wouldn't turn down the likes of a Jamie Bamber.

Nothing against UK men but... they'd probably look a whole lot better with a tan...

Oh, wait, then they'd be Australian
Apr 09, 2008 7:35 PM GMT
Well, I think Spanish, Italian and Argentinian men have us both beat!
Apr 09, 2008 7:36 PM GMT
As it's been said before, the grass is always greener on the other side... but every country has it's hotties and it's not so hot guys. I don't mean to be a buzz kill. I prefer to think that hotness and beauty are in some part unique to everyone. Sure there's universal beauty, but everyone has their kinks... if they're experienced ;-)

Hell, I work with a hot exec chef, and I've heard him say that he thinks I'm handsome, but that he's not sure he's good enough for me; though he's totally my type.

Ditto on the Italian men. Plus, since I dont speak Italian there's no distracting chit chat. RE: British vs American guys, man the teeth are usually the deal breaker with British guys for me.

I've always loved Wakko's Scouse accent.

I have to peut-tee!
