And it was on that racist-driven FOX NEWS no less. Oh, the horrors! Good for Herman Cain giving it a try. He'll either hold up to the scrutiny and resonate with Americans, or he won't. No different than any of the others running. Should be an interesting election campaign indeed.

    I watched his clips twice.

There was no actual announcement, he just recites a bunch of really empty slogan-like phrases and begs for money. Even Trump at least had a message.

He makes very few statements, but of them, they included these broad inanities :

"we have all the resources we need right here in America."
    icon_lol.gif

"The government taxes too much, too quickly."

"we need to get government out of the way."

I'd like to hear Jon Stewart interview him.

He sounds as inane as Palin did.

The GOP needs someone clearly as smart as Obama to go head to head with him in a debate.

My first indicator of how impressive a candidate Obama would be was seeing him interviewed by Jon Stewart, after Obama had delivered his first significant address in response to a speech by Bush.

An interview by Jon Stewart should be the first step of the vetting process.

Doesn't matter what his message is. He will never carry the red southern states. A majority of the GOP voters in the South won't get past his skin color to hear what he actually has to say. Sad but true.

Is South Carolina in the south?

And this was sponsored by the ultra white supremacist, racist, bigoted, folks of color haters, Fox News. Fox even had all white folk in their focus group so instead of 'where's the meat' lets play 'where's the biggot'.

My point is in the first clip he failed totally to convey his message properly. "I am running for President."

Good that he then got it right at noon in Atlanta on his second try. He is going to need a lot of practise in his ability to communicate as effectively as Obama.

If he got the nomination he would have all the resources of the GOP in coaching and training - right now he is on his own and is skating only at farm team level compared to some of the other NHL-level names like Romney or even Christie (who despite playing coy has the innate stage presence.

I hear that Cain is allergic to teleprompters.

He'll get better. The competition will cause that. Let's see how he does.

Yes, should be interesting to see when he starts criticizing Obama what they will call him --- racist?

business guys are so often at a disadvantage though in going up against career politicians.

When they do pull off the win, it does not often work out too well when they discover government does not run like a business but like a household.

The only thing white about this guy are eyeballs and teeth. Maybe the left will start calling obama racist.

That was really uncalled for. Why say things like this that will only irritate people?

Yeah, that was really uncalled for. It looks like you have shown your true colors. "The only thing white about this guy are his eyeballs and teeth?"

    Wtf is wrong with you?

Your point is well taken. Same thing applies to ex military. Ike found that out. Its still way early and this will make it more interesting for sure.

And again thank you. The one little detail you left out is that I support him. Tells you something about stereotypes does it not?

No, it questions if you support him because he is black. Just to show that you do not harbor racist thoughts and to get back at liberals because they have accused the right of being racist.

It is like you are eager for somebody to call out "racist" or "Uncle Tom" just so you can pounce.

And stupid ass comments did just that. Who the fuck says that shit?

Whether you support him or not, that doesn't excuse making statements like "He ain't some mixed breed either" or "The only thing white about this guy are eyeballs and teeth". These sort of comments tend to negate anything else intelligent you might have added to the discussion.

As always, I'll say what I want. You always have the option of blocking me.
