Is there a particular company or place where I could readily find garden / poolside statues that would appeal to gay men? A Google search turned up the usual crap plus spam sites.

The usual nudes of David are plentiful, but I have seen some at gay bars and other places that were "enhanced" for the viewer's enjoyment. I don't know if the owners modified them or bought them that way.

Maybe there's a market for statuary in the Tom of Finland mold, but if they don't sell it I can't buy it. Any ideas? Thanks.

    Starving art-school students?

One of my neighbors makes garden statuary, but it's all abstract shapes in stainless steel (and quite expensive, I gather.). In the winter, it looks a bit odd, scattered among the leafless trees in the woods. It looks good against green backdrops though.

I've seen tons of nude male statues in parks in Europe... they're usually billed as greek or roman gods. Try searching for "Poseidon" or the like. Or find a particular work that you like and search for replicas by name.

Thanks, I'll check those out. The ones already out there are of the white concrete look, so bronze would be different to be sure.

Although, that artist Bob certainly has some interesting works. Thanks for the tip, I never would have thought eBay had the stomach for that given how our corporate overlords now dictate what we can and can't say online.

There's gay kitsch tacky taste and gay good taste. With Campania International you can cover both bases - if you look on their website under "statuary" you can find yourself a naughty satyr, a devlish fiddler or a flute playing Pan: http://campaniainternational.com/index.php?page=statuary
