Just got bored and started watching some oldershows that I missed online...
It really got me thinkng about the dfferent "characters" on the show.
I was just wondering what you guys think about the show in general.... Did you watch it when it was airing?
Supposedly the producers are filming for a second season now....
    will you watch?

I watched some of the episodes but didn't find it that compelling. It came across as, for the most part, a bunch of self centered and shallow characters in my opinion.

I don't understand why the show is called "The A-List"?

The only guy I recognized before watching the show was Reichen and he is sadly a reality show Z-Lister.

Hell, just call it "The Gay List" or "The Real Housewives of New York." lol

They were definitely not an A-list. Aside from Reichen being "infamous," the only claim to fame the other ones had was Austin being Marc Jacob's ex, Derek being friends with that pathertic loser Lindsay Lohan, and Ryan being a "hairdresser to the stars." The only famous client I ever heard Ryan mention was Rachel Ray. Not sure I'd be taking responsibility for that if I were him! They were all like a bunch of obnoxious high school girls playing catty mind games with each other. Reichen may be a douchebag, but at least he's eye candy. His bf Rodiney was pretty hot too, but the rest of them were anorexic or pudgy.

Exactly, all Bravo did for that show was find a bunch of pathetic wannabes who fit the stereotype of a gay man and made a show of it.

This show was like a train wreck: Gruesome but so hard to look away. And as much as I hate to admit it, I will be watching the second season with a bottle of wine to dull the mental and psychological pain that these men inflict.

heybreaux saidI am sure all of the actors on the show are very nice, but I tried to like it and it was pretty dull and cliche, and full of B.S. on many different levels.

The only person on the show I would consider Alist would be Mike Ruiz. He is pretty well known for his creative photos of celebs. I personally couldn't stand Rodney. He was such a big ass baby and when Austin smacked him up side his head,That made my day lol!

The show was lame as hell and the only reason I watched was because http://www.queerty.com/ did a minute by minute blog making fun of it. The blog was so funny, I started to watch the show. The blog was funnier than the show, not good.

I watched 2 episodes and then just forgot about it. It didn't seem anything worthwhile to pay attention to. I'm surprised it will see a second season.

My partner and I watched it because it was so bad and it doesn't reflect the lives of anyone we know. A few weeks ago I met some friends for happy hour before we went to Night of 1,000 Stevies. I was the first to arrive and saw Austin standing outside smoking talking to one other person. It didn't seem like very many people talked to him and he kept taking frequent smoke breaks. To me, he just seemed kind of lonely, sad, and desperate for attention.

I was intrigued by the show, actually liked Reichen's book, and almost bought a couple episodes on itunes but then i got a preview dvd thru work. Brought the dvd home, watched a couple episodes and i have to say i'm underwhelmed.

sad thing is i'd really like to watch a reality show about gay guys, especially set in NYC. But like some other guys here have commented, i would not want to spend any time with any of these self-absorbed boys at all. I just don't care about anything going on with them or what they care about and i imagine they wouldn't care about me or any of my friends, unless of course i was rich or had a career in fashion or hair, etc. (Though Austin is kinda cute.)
