Aww I actually started to tear up when she was reading the note from that guy.

This would have been so good though if after the scene was done the host didnt come in and talk to them. Somehow I think knowing that it was on tv and part of a set up takes away some of the significance of it all. If they got the footage and left quietly I think alot more people would have gone away from that place with positive thoughts.

Makes me rethink some of my own assumptions about Texas.

I just watched this and was thinking about posting it here too lol

But it's good to see people stand up for gay couples, especially in a conservative place like Texas. I was surprised at the end of the video when they said that more people stood up for the couple in conservative Texas than in liberal New Jersey when they tried out this experiment over there too. Maybe Texans are starting to be more open-minded about this stuff?

I started to cry immediately as soon as that note hit the table. That was unexpectedly powerful.

I know that was just acting but I wanted to punch the waitress in the face (in other words she is a good actress icon_biggrin.gif).

I don't know if I'd stand up, I tend to quiet down whenever other people are getting into an argument regardless of what they're arguing about. Although I would definitely want to say something, or even just a glare on the way out.

A pal posted this on facebook. I appreciate the words of the 24 patrons who did say something, especially that letter. WOW. But I am not buying that Texas has experienced an awe-inspiring epiphany. And I would have said something and would most likely have gone after her job.

Yeah, I got teary eyed too. Very powerful and nice to see people standing up and doing the right thing; really restores my faith in human empathy.

What a beautiful video, I'm not one to get worked up over videos, but this one touched my soft spot. It hit a little near home, because I grew up 15 minutes from that restaurant.

I believe some years ago there was a gay couple that was refused service and thrown out of a Mexican restaurant in Texas. I can't remember where in Texas exactly.

TheGuyNextDoor saidNorma's Diner is a very famous spot here in Dallas. There are about 5 like around the metroplex and all very gay friendly.
Momma's Daughter's Diner is another famous one all owned by the same family.

It is nice to hear that ...icon_smile.gif
