Wow, she's great. She's just absolutely great. When I hear her talk I don't think "god another fucking stupid singer that god lucky." She's really smart, funny, and down to Earth. I mean what pop star records themselves arguing with a protestor and then airs it on The View? No one. Fucking no one but Lady Ga Ga. I hate her music, but I love her videos and personality.

Totally agree! I have yet to see an interview in which is she was anything but gracious, polite, funny, sweet, very intelligent, totally thankful to her fans for her success, and just plain cool. Her whole message to "Just Be Yourself" is so pure and from the heart. That she was able to wrap that message in a music project like "Born This Way" is a perfect example of an artist sharing her gift through music to somehow make a difference. She's always dressed in something that no one could ever pull off but Gaga. All one would have to do is see her proud mother (who also looks like a really classy lady) sitting in the audience to know she comes from a really good family. You can tell that she genuinely loves her family, and that her religious upbringing in catholic schools helped keep her grounded and focused, and she seemingly will never forget her roots. I hope fame never changes her, because Lady Gaga is the real deal.

I think she is a combination of what you described and also business savvy enough to know that dressing outrageous and maintaining her image is key in her success. She's pretty smart, really. I still hate most of her music though unless it's alejandro. icon_smile.gif

    It's called marketing, folks.
It's a persona that sells. I doubt if any artist truly is ever sincere in these forums because they're selling an image. If she wasn't selling an image, should would have come out in jeans and a t shirt.

I like her and bought the new cd yesterday. It just gets old when every word she speaks is dissected like she truly is something new. She seems to be a cool chick who knows how to market herself.

Only those in the inner circle get to see the real side of artists.
