Think of times when you were glued to the TV:

    9/11

    Obama Election Night

Egypt Uprising and Victory (like I was watching three channels into the wee morning)

A few American Idol Finales (I admit it)

    You?

When Buffy defeated "The First" And Sunnydale collapsed. - Buffy

When Nick Cutter returned and Claudia Brown had vanished from the timeline - Primeval

Yes, these are the only two things I care for. Also that one episode on Nurse Jackie.... Where the chick is all hyper and the guy asks "Are you on speed?" And she replies with "I AM SPEED MOTHERFUCKER!"

Let's be honest here, I feel less sophisticated that everyone else has stated they'd watch events and I haven't :S

I haven't been glued to the TV since I was a child, nothing on TV is interesting enough.

Major events I can just watch news broadcasts online whenever I like.

Princess Diana's funeral. That's when my whole family cancelled everything and stayed glued in front of the TV.

Not a specific war or battle....but just remember watching missiles launched on Israel, and seeing soldiers in active duty..."on the job" in Iraq and thought about how weird it was watching WAR on CNN from my armchair.

    2008 World Series

    Katrina

SNL, 2008 (Tina Fey as Palin)

Also never missed Lost or Buffy. Or Friends. Essentially glued every week for those ones.

    - 9/11. A gay friend phoned me hysterically to turn on the TV, had no idea what he meant, couldn't believe my eyes.
    - First moon landing. Saw it on an Army dayroom TV with other soldiers crowded around in awe.
    - The Kennedy assassination, from departure of the body from Dallas through the funeral.
    - The original live broadcast of Peter Pan with Mary Martin in the mid-1950s.
    - Many of the first US rocket launches, and especially the first 2 manned, made by Shepard (suborbital) & Glenn (orbital).
    - I deliberately did NOT watch the "who shot JR" episode on Dallas. icon_razz.gif
