Wow.. Thanks for sharing that. I've often wondered what it will be like if my partner goes first. Although we've been together 18 years (last October), I know that neither of us will have rights when one goes first. It's scary hoping, but still doubting if we've done everything that can be done with our estate planning.

This video does hit home for some of us.

Thank you again for sharing it.

    Wasnt ready emotionally

Don't worry- it's not sad- it's optimistic. I'm just glad he called it marriage equality and not "gay marriage."

I'm with A1EX in that I'm glad he referred to marriage equality.

There's a lot to be said for the language used by our community and our allies and those who are in positions of authority. I was irked by the anecdote he shared about the police referring to his "roommate."

If that were me, I'd be livid beyond all comprehension.

I cannot wait for the day when stories like this will seem like ancient history.

And just think... our own "OneGezzer" has proudly voted to DENY marriage equality in the state of California by proudly proclaiming here on RJ that he voted for prop 8....

    Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
    Kinda sad huh?
