Anyone seen this film? We saw it last week. It certainly has it's problems, but if you love art history AND anthropology, I would highly recommend it.

Not sure. We saw it in a theater. Also, it's in 3D which I would also recommend as you feel like you're right up on the drawings.

I felt like I had a religious experience when I left the theater. To think that someone did these 32,000 years ago boggles the mind.

I saw it. The drawings and paintings are stunning. The work of a true artist, and I came away from it with a new appreciation for the role of art in the human experience.

I agree that it has problems---Herzog is heavy-handed and there were several stretches when I wished he would shut up---but the visual rewards outweighed the irritating commentary.

I agree. And so much was left out. He never went into the fact that although these were created during an ice age, many of the drawings were of rhinoceroses and lions.
