For the golf nut that I am... I truly enjoy the almost uninterrupted coverage of the Championship. CBS does a great job covering the event on the weekends... Am a little hesistant about ESPN carrying it this year for early coverage. Just don't like the style of coverage that they provide/present it in.
My money is on Vijay or Tiger... who do you think will win it?
It's always hard not to back Tiger, and he's in such good form right now, I think that's where my money is. However, if I WERE to pick someone else, I don't think it would be Vijay; Tiger seems to get in Vijay's head and he does something to lose at the last hole or two.
There are a lot of players ahead of Tiger on the first day Leaderboard that I wouldn't mind seeing win. Justin Rose, Trevor Immelman and Lee Westwood are all at the top. You've always got to worry about Furyk in the big tournaments. But I think I'll pick Stephen Ames, if I can't have Tiger.
I'm doing Fantasy Golf on CBS Sportsline and I took Tiger, Phil, Tim Clark, Jerry Kelly, and Fred Couples (it's salary cap-based and Fred was cheap). So far, 4 of 5 in the top 25.
I don't know who will pull it off, but I like that Zach Johnson is back near the top (so far). But I agree with rigsby that the Brits are making a good showing so far and are always dangerous.
