southbeach1500 saidAre you know [sic] metta8's "little helper?"

After all, he's too busy to even write a sentence or two in his own words about how he views the issues he's posting about, so it's no wonder he needs an assistant on here.

I am indeed my brother's helper, if he doesn't mind. A sense of brotherhood I learned in the US Army, that I now carry into my gay life. I would rather think the question is: why do you LACK gay brotherhood?

With your support of gay-hostile politicians & positions, justifying yourself with the lame excuse that it's "good for the economy" and other equally dubious claims. Do we ever see you help ANYONE here? Even a little bit of tourist info for guys coming down to South Beach on vacation, where you allegedly live? Why should I, paulflexes, or anybody else here have to step in to help them, when you supposedly live right there?

Your silence, as they say, is deafening. And also revealing, in more ways than one.

So you're not in a good position from which to criticize me for helping metta8, who posts lots of things here, though really not more than you. Except his aren't as relentlessly anti-Obama & anti-Democrat as yours, which I know is what really irks you. And his lack of accompanying commentary is rather commendable -- he lets the article he links do the talking. I admire him for it.

This is an excellent development for free speech.

Your silence the first 47 years of your life was pathetic in my opinion. Where were you in the 60's 70's and 80's? You've got the balls to comment about someone else?

southbeach1500 saidHis lack of accompanying commentary is deadly for an internet chat forum, not to mention a breach of decorum. When one posts in an internet forum, one should also post their opinion and ideas. Metta8 contributes neither.

A breach of WHAT? After the personal slanders about my mental state you've made against me & others here, you speak of DECORUM?

I've never heard of this rule that says links must be accompanied by commentary. Perhaps you can provide a link to a site that explains this. No commentary required, of course.

It was 46 -- do get your facts correct. And I've more than compensated for my failure to recognize my own orientation until mid-life. Not deny it or try to cover it up, nor choose to be silent, just didn't know myself. I'm not the only one here who went through this.

But I'm talking about giving advice to fellow gays, by a guy who IS out, living in South Beach, to those who ask for travel advice to that vacation spot. You're comparing apples & oranges, as they say. But anything to strike a low blow, right? I understand who you are completely.

    southbeach1500 saidForum rule #6:

Do not spam the boards with advertisements for other services, web sites, and so on.

Just posting a link to a website is a clear violation. Of course, you being a liberal, will have a difficult time deciphering rule #6 as it contains commas. icon_rolleyes.gif

Well, I'll guess we'll just have to click the Report Spam button every time you post one of your endless links to right-wing sites & news outlets, now won't we? icon_wink.gif

    Compensating!

Is that what you call your running around with a gay flag out of your ass?

You are a sad pathetic man.

I and SB and anyone else who is not your idea of what a gay man should be has the right to be here on this board---

And you are hardly worth the time of day. With your seething gay hatred and self-loathing, unable to complete a profile about your apparently closeted Arizona life. Well, in that state I can understand why. Jealousy, anyone?

    ======================

Hardly worth the time of day? Yet you took the time to respond? Please keep responding as it only helps prove and show people the kind of jerk you really are. And as for closeted--hardly--I've had my pictures posted here and you know that. You post your pictues and why? They are nothing to look at. Doesn't prove anything about you either other than you are not really a jock but a board whore who thinks she can post whatever she wants on a forum for ALL gay men.

Will you stop with that self-loathing crap? Please?

You have no idea, based on what a person writes on an internet chat forum, whether they are self-loathing or not. The fact that you throw that term around so much just shows what a loon you are.

Comparable to your "liberal hen" phrase, no doubt?

So SouthBeach and Deanane managed to take a thread about the increasing power of corporations over our democratic elections and turn it into a double-team series of personal attacks on ArtDeco.

Way to go guys. No plans for the long weekend? icon_lol.gif

so your boss at work or the owner of a large corporation decides whom to endorse for a myriad of reasons, one could be a government perk the other personal or moral beliefs, and then imposes their views on employee's, claiming and showing employee's who has been decided as their right candidate according to anothers opinion....and these paid workers being told what to do at work, they should feel obliged or experience a bit of pressure to follow what their "boss" says in order to keep their job..and a civil discussion at work on politics will commence? I could swear many businesses don't allow or enjoy political and religious discussion at work or with clients/customers as employee's are to not engage in debate or arguments.....Its not going to impose on others or scare people from their freedom of speech (having pressure on who to vote for via your "boss")? Besides voting is a private issue, and none of your bosses business anyway right? None of this sort of government covert action or ruling is a new trend or such- just think in our free country lists of people had no rights based on their skin color, who they have sex with or their gender, until the past century-why is that?
And is true quite a few federally registered major corporations were sold to foreign interest- so to think here- if they are owned by non Americans- then outside interest can now play a larger role in controlling elections. Nifty. Sounds fishy-I know.... lets call that government agency and complain to get some help...lol

why should free speech even be extended to corporations?
