Fine. Let me rephrase my answer:

What are bathhouses bro? What are bathhouses?

    On the good ship lollipop?

Meeting guys through friends at parties I think is a good way to go about it.

I have a friend who believes in "meeting at the grocery store".
Not so sure about that one...

I don't think there is a correct formula for a meeting place. It could happen at anytime/anyplace

A friend met his partner of 12 years at Kroger's. They made heavy eye contact over a mound of tomatoes, and it was destiny.

That's......ridiculously cheap to get off and potentially catch a STD. Where is that bathhouse, it's a super steal!

Disagree as much as you want, I still think that real life situations are much more fun and spontaneous than virtual.

check if your area has a local 'pride center'---

I don't usually go to them, but i'm about to give them a go with a mens pride group meetup.

it's just, for me bar hookups/ online dating hasn't really been working out -- so good to try something new.

also signed up for a pride run, so hopefully something good will pan out with that.

There's the "gay ghetto" strategy. Sometimes it seems less sketch to meet a guy at a grocery store, a pool party, a Starbucks, in a gay part of town than it is to meet a guy in a gay bar. A lotta my friends have joined gay sports teams and met really cool guys along the way. Plus, if you have a good group of gay friends, they're always trying to set you up! Then again, a lot of guys are bothered by the "scene."

Then there's the "live your life" strategy. Be yourself, act how you want to act, hang out where you are comfortable hanging out, pursue your interests, go to concerts, hit up the gym, join a team ... but be ballzy enough to but make it well known that you're gay and friendly enough to talk to as many people as humanly possible. That way when you meet a dude, you know he shares your interests. Friends always make the best boyfriends anyway.

Nothing wrong with meeting guys online, as long as it isn't a bad habit and it quickly transitions into a real-life connection. I feel like I can tell more about a guy in 5 minutes in person than I could tell in hours of chatting online. Plus, who wants to date a chronic cam addict?

But my advice particularly for you is to just get a rainbow tattoo and brace yourself as men of all kinds come out of the woodwork to swarm you!

Have to agree with this one. Real life situations are more fun then the virtual ones.

Getting introduced by friends. Removes a lot of potential awkwardness.
